blue_n_white99 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 We're creating chances. According to the BBC, we've had 8 shots 3 of which were on target. So the offense is doing everything except put the ball into the net. If we end on a draw, we're 10th and one win away from a potential play-off position. So I, for one, can understand Bowyer's reasoning. We are playing 3rd bottom at home on the back of successive victories, in what universe should GB be playing for a draw? That is the gutless, wishy washy option. Teams like Sheff Weds should be sh1tting themselves at Ewood.
Majiball Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Maybe the manager wasn't overly impressed with the showboating Aye this is the man who described Williamson as being a creative passer of the ball? He doesn't trust him and thinks he's more likely to cost us a goal than score one. Why bother with him on the bench if your not going to use him. Bring on DJ then we need a goal FFS Lowe Did he put it over from 1 yard out?
Amo Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 FFS Lowe FFS out of context posts which tell nothing to those of us not at the game.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Bit of pressure now, king had chance.....poor
Steve Moss Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I didn't say play for a draw. From Bowyer's perspective, offensively we're creating chances and its only a matter of time. However, preventing Sheffield from sneaking a goal in also a priority. So an added defensive mid-fielder (who has already had one shot at goal) is just an insurance policy. I think Bowyer's reasoning is methodical and sound. So I'm not bent out of shape about it.
jim mk2 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 BE shouting for Rochina Why don't they go to the ballet instead ?
Stuart Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 FFS out of context posts which tell nothing to those of us not at the game. What do you want, commentary? Open net. I might be being slightly harsh but he's not going to get the benefit of the doubt from me.
Backroom Tom Posted December 26, 2013 Backroom Posted December 26, 2013 If we don't win it late on then GB has made it easy to criticise him going off the change he made
Majiball Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Cairney for Rochina Come RR prove him wrong and get that winning goal. The crowd chant and on he comes, not good.
Bundesburn Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Cairney for Rochina Not to be overtly critical, but it seems too little, too late and - almost worst of all - crowd-influenced.
Amo Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Ten minutes for Rochina to change the game. Should've been on twenty minutes ago, at least.
SoldierMo Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Should have started bad tactics and subs today by GB
Stuart Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 If we don't win it late on then GB has made it easy to criticise him going off the change he made Very negative today Gaz.
Amo Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Very negative today Gaz. I don't think playing a 4-4-2 is negative. Williamson for Gestede is another story.
G Somerset Rover Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Rochina should have started for Gestede. GB either doesn't fancy him or we rarely play him due to contractual reasons IMO.
yoda Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Why don't they go to the ballet instead ? because you would ask why they are not at the game Does Rhodes not want to score just yet
West Yorks Rover Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Should have started bad tactics and subs today by GB Does seem to be very negative at home, his use of subs does need to be questioned yet again.
Amo Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Rochina should have started for Gestede. GB either doesn't fancy him or we rarely play him due to contractual reasons IMO. Or he's off in January as a makeweight for Cairney?
