Mike Graham Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Lowe makes a forward pass and for once Rhodes touch lets him down very unlucky I don't care about good comebacks and nearlys I care about points come on rovers To be fair Tom his first touch is normally poor, it is the big weakness in his game.
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 To be fair Tom his first touch is normally poor, it is the big weakness in his game. Can't be too critical he's done more than his bit today
Dunnfc Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Reminds me of the Peterborough game at home last year, same outcome?
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 Marshall off for Taylor man of the match for us by a mile today Glad he's come good
Clitherover Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Reminds me of the Peterborough game at home last year, same outcome? Was thinking exactly the same.
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 Rhodes motm Marshall for me but Rhodes gave us hope with some class finishing Dann air shot come on Eastwood attack him Eastwood header off the line
Stuart Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Eastwood header hits the post and it's all over.
Ricky Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 So what happened to those 6 easy points over Christmas to push us towards the playoffs??? Absolute joke!
Backroom DE. Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 Sounded like a spirited comeback but if you concede 3 in the first half you're unlikely to get anything out of the game. A second really poor result. 1 point from 6 against two teams lower than us in the table at home just isn't good enough. I think we can forget the playoffs entirely, and will have to pray that Venky's continue to fund us into next season or I can't see how we go on with the financial situation in mind.
Devon Rover Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I don't really care if it was a battling/brave second half performance. Bowyer continuing to set up with 2 defensive central midfielders at home and ending up with 1 point from 2 very winnable games that could have set up a play-off push, is a huge failure. Very, very disappointed.
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 A two goal comeback means nothing when you've conceded three Valiant second half effort but a game is over 90 minutes - not good enough sorry Rhodes, Marshall and Henley can all hold their heads high at least
neophox Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 A loss is a loss at home. Not good enough. Thats the case. You have to win matches not lose.
yoda's brother Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 So what happened to those 6 easy points over Christmas to push us towards the playoffs??? Absolute joke! which fools thought that. this is rovers after all. seen it all before.
Roverall Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 So at what point do we think Venkys are going to pull the plug? Can't be long now. If we're getting dumped, I'd rather not string it out.
Clitherover Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Still somehow 4 points from playoffs, two wins would have had us nicely in there. Don't give us a hope of getting there though.
SoldierMo Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Good news is lowe suspended nx game so we take one of two def mids and v start scoring and not concede...GB really needs to wake up and stop bloody fearing teams
rovers11 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Poor, I'm afraid. Decent comeback but 1 point from two home games is not good enough. Xmas would tell us a lot about our play off chances. Think we've just been reminded that we're gonna drop short this season.
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 Rochina was the definition of a show pony second half by the way
rigger Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 why would we want to get promoted? We would have to go through the pain of watching our team get slaughtered every week.
rovers11 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Rochina was the definition of a show pony second half by the way Well, there's a surprise. Don't get the hype around him.
yoda Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 gutted. Why, its been obvious for a while we are not up to it
Backroom Mike E Posted December 29, 2013 Backroom Posted December 29, 2013 Judge had another good little cameo today. Rochina anonymous after 10mins. Marshall had a cracking game, as did Henley and Rhodes. We need to play Cairney and Williamson next game with a rotating 3 of Marshall, Taylor and King (Judge to come on late on). I'd love to write this off as 'one of those days' but you could tell it was due. Only saving grace was the effort applied in the 2nd half. Some stunning football. Game of 2 halves indeed.
