gutted.

Me too.

How the hell can you concede 3 first half goals at home against a bottom 5 team when you have a back 4 and 2 defensive midfielders?

As I've said for long enough, there are no men or leaders in the team, that want to stand up and be counted.

I'd have criticised Bowyer on Boxing Day but not today. He's been badly let down in the first 45 mins IMO by those who he entrusted defensively.

You can't legislate for that defensive abomination.

Derby were struggling badly, sacked their manager....got an experienced man in that no one on this board wanted and now they are cruising.....

Just saying...

Derby aren't owned by Venky's. Just saying.

How did gestede do??

Shows signs he could be a decent centre forward for me won some good flick ons including one right across goal but didn't seem to be in the right place for chances

As an aside how many would have accepted a point pre match? I certainly wouldn't so I'm not going to see a plucky near point as a positive

Gestede's goal tally across his career suggests he's rarely in the right place. Perhaps he can learn from Jordan, who's an absolute master at it despite his young age.

A point against a Birmingham team on a decent run might have been acceptable if we'd beaten Sheff Weds, but our dour draw meant today needed to be a win and we blew it in the first 45 minutes.

On the brighside if any atleast marshall is comin good along with evans taylor henley and we have rhodes just 7 short haha

Ps dunn dusnt help our cause either he comes and we start playn well and then decides to disappear which spoils the whole teams rhythm exact same thing happend when we had our last back to back wins we just need to get rid of him

Awful defending for 2 of their goals. Most goals we concede are down to ourselves.

1st half was shambolic.

I'm sick of see Jason ' never does anything' Lowe. He is rubbish. Never tackles can't pass and never makes himself an option

We looked better when gestede came on and rochina went. People need to realise that Ruben is pants. Gary bowyer is getting it wrong far to often now which is worrying.

On a final note, well played Ben Marshall. You were excellent today

Are we struggling?! 4 points off play offs suggests otherwise. We've had two disappointing results over Xmas and blown a big chance to get into the play offs. Win against Leeds on Wednesday and we're right back in it. Don't reckon we will win it though.

We'll fall short of the play offs because we have too many days like today where we don't beat teams we should beat. Plus, we make too many individual errors.

This season was always about stabilising the club and building a squad capable of promotion in the seasons to come. Bowyer has built a team with a good core group of players - Dann, Hanley, Henley, Spurr, Henley, Marshall, Taylor, Evans, Cairney, King, and Rhodes. We miss that little bit of magic Dunn provides when he plays and that's something he will need to try and add to in the transfer window. Granted, Dann, Hanley, and Rhodes will probably leave in the summer but we'll still have a decent core group of players and our younger players will be more experienced and will hopefully make less mistakes.

Couldn't be sure from where I was sat if Eastwood was at fault for the second goal or if it was a genuinely unstoppable strike.

Either way, we'd almost certainly be in a playoff position if we had eradicated keeping errors from our game, I hope it doesn't end up being the difference come May.

What did Dann do during the first half?

After the third goal as Eastwood was picking himself up Dann ran over screaming in his face and tried to push him to the ground

Nice one captain

Whilst you are logically correct, I'm pretty sure the loons will have set this season's target as promotion. I think shelfy confirmed it at the AGM.

I also wouldn't put Dann or Hanley in the group of good core players. Both make far too many mistakes and Dann is an arse to boot. I like Kilgallon but it seems GB does not.

Cos the defensive midfielders barely defend!! (or do much for that matter)

I don't have to be at the match mate, as soon as I saw the line up I knew exactly what would happen and it has, no drive or creativity with this team, when you say playing some good stuff, can I ask are we creating clear cut chances?

I'll say it again. If you are not at the match your comments are meaningless.

Just got back, trying to take stock of the last two games. First half we set off brightly, one lovely passing move down the right involving Henly, Cairney and then Rochina shot just wide. We were bossing it, until their first attack. The defence parted like the sea of Galilee - such a soft goal. The second was a stunner, nothing Eastwood could do.......but the third was shambolic. Eastwood was left exposed, and was right on the line to kick it out, but he passed it to their scorer.

When you are three down, the opposition are bound to shut up shop. To that extent they sat back in the second half. Gestede showed effort - one run he made the length of the pitch to defend & win the ball. On 50 minutes Rochina summed himself up in an instant, right wing in front of the BE, beat his man twice, time to cross, then beat himself by trying to be too clever. An inigma he is.

I hope GB accepts the first half line up didn't cut it. Albeit it was the defence at fault rather than those in front. Cairney is indeed wasted out wide.

Dann had a complete nightmare against his former masters, Lowe workmanlike but uninspiring. What I hope he has learnt is that Lowe & Williamson cannot be in the same midfield. JR was just himself, goal poaching extraordinaire, second especially shows such a deadly touch. Henley was impressive, but for me Marshall was motm today......always busy, set up the first, wish some of the others would aspire to his work rate.

All in all a mightily depressing Christmas double header. Mid table we will stay.
