Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Yea that's because Dunn is our best player by a million miles. He's injured 2/3rds of the time though.
AggyBlue Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 For me Dunny does exactly that for us AND has an end product.. For me Dunny slows too many breakaways down
Backroom Tom Posted January 10, 2014 Backroom Posted January 10, 2014 For me Dunny slows too many breakaways down Eats too many breakaways as well!
bluebruce Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I don't have a season ticket anymore...does this make me less of a fan? Rochina delivers nothing mate...never actually has if truth be known...talent in abundance and the threat to take it to the next level but no end product. Big wages, big ego, GET RID The above was for Roversfan99 btw Sounds like King.
Neal Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Just noticed Yann Songo post an Instagram from Kilmarnock.
patrickvalery Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Don't like my rye sense of humour? As it goes, you made a positive statement: "this guy is a Journalist, who worked for column in FourFourTwo and OnTheBall", when Mr. Boubacar is about as genuine as the Easter Bunny. EasterBunny @EasterBunny98 I'm hearing 442 have just made an enquiry to sign up a Mr Boubacar as their new column writer in the January window. Off to make some calls #youain'tseenmeright
Kei Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Lucas in the Aus press today saying he wants to play for us again. Sounds like he's been told it isn't going to happen though. 'I would jump at the chance to stay with Rovers, but their problem is that they have too many players,'' he said. ''They had a Premier League squad that are now trying to cull down to a Championship squad. ''I love the surroundings, I loved my time there. They are a strong Championship team with ambitions of being promoted again. I definitely feel I could add value to that squad, and if the door was open I definitely would walk through.''
John Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 For me Dunny does exactly that for us AND has an end product.. Shame he can't stay fit for more than 1-2 matches.

chris_h Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Lucas in the Aus press today saying he wants to play for us again. My reaction if this happened.......................................
Ricky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 So Ryan Nelsen has signed Jermaine Defoe. Wonder if he fancies loaning him to us until March
McClarky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Just noticed Yann Songo post an Instagram from Kilmarnock. In English please.......
Backroom Tom Posted January 10, 2014 Backroom Posted January 10, 2014 He uploaded a photograph to a social network site from Kilmarnock Hinting at a possible loan move?
G Somerset Rover Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Shame he can't stay fit for more than 1-2 matches. And he's 34? Yeah let's build around Dunny for the future...
Clitherover Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Doubtful, very different types of player. So far I understand there has been no offers for Ings, some suggestion Southampton may be interested if they sell Lambert Fair enough, don't know much about Barnes. Can't blame me for hoping though.
McClarky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 He uploaded a photograph to a social network site from Kilmarnock Hinting at a possible loan move? Thank you! I though it meant he was trying to put a Scottish person in fancy dress into a post box. Seems odd as we only have 4 cbs don't we and 1 of them is supposed to be off? He musn't be considered good enough to step up if someone is out.
longsiders1882 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Fair enough, don't know much about Barnes. Can't blame me for hoping though. I guess (or hope?) our boards view is that unless the offer is ridiculous then we might as well keep hold until at least summer. He'll still have a decent value whereas selling him now, I would imagine, all but ends any slim promotion hopes.
Mani Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 It would not surprise me if they sign Lucas Neill should Dann go. In fact I'd go one further and say he eludes to it in that interview. Would make sense as Rovers under GB often have deals lined up in the event of a player leaving...a few have back fired when they've bought before selling and the sale collapses eg Kilgallon and Dann in the summer. Getting an extremely experienced player with a point to prove before the World Cup for nothing and a fraction of Danns wages...sounds like good business to me!
Guest Norbert Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 He'll probably spend ages watching from the stands though. He was a reckless tackler, and his slower pace risks quite a few cards. He'll probably not be that much cheaper either.
J*B Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Don't have a season ticket anymore. However if we resign Lu£a$h I'm going to buy a JW lower tier ticket and spend 90 minutes calling him a cash grabbing whore.
arbitro Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Don't have a season ticket anymore. However if we resign Lu£a$h I'm going to buy a JW lower tier ticket and spend 90 minutes calling him a cash grabbing whore. I really don't get this. Neil was upfront with Rovers and told them he wouldn't be signing a new contract and that he would be leaving. He told them at the beginning of the season giving Rovers a decent notice period. He was exercising his right to go and earn more money. How many Rovers fans who took the moral high ground wouldn't have done that? And yet Friedel is lauded whenever he comes back and fans hold him in high esteem. He asked to move during pre-season training and virtually forced a move to Villa for more money. He really didn't give a toss about Rovers. Personally I wouldn't like either back.
rog of the rovers Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 If Dann goes, Neill would be an ideal short term replacement in my opinion. Experience, leadership (the Australian captain) and something to prove ahead of the World Cup. A deal until the end of the season would allow us to start again in the summer (O'Connor, Edwards or a new signing)

Neill is well thought of at Rovers. He is a good pro and gives his all. He has the mentality to fit right in under GB's regime...friends with Shorty too..
