Everyone keeps saying we overpayed for him, maybe at first people were mistaken and thought we did but his goal return since joining speaks for itself and personally I think he was worth every single penny.

Its a BRFCS opinion that we overpaid for him, if he fires us into the Premiership he was a steal at 8m, if we sell him for 10m he was a steal at 8m, time will tell.

Apparently odds are slashed on Rhodes to QPR for £8m.

http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/01/14/qprs-8m-blackburn-rovers-target-has-odds-cut-on-qpr-move/?

They argue Rovers need the money because of FFP, which sounds really strange to me as QPR surely must be at least (if not worse) as bad as Rovers… And £8m sounds like a joke.

I wouldn't pay any attention to that as for one they are just bookies odds and QPR well that is funny they are in even more crap than us as they have racked up losses of 160 million and if they get promoted they will be hit with a 60m fine for overspending or transfer embargo if not I thought Nicko was bad but that article is so badly written my cousins 5 year old son could do a better job than this clown there really should be fines for reporters who cobble such articles make up a few teams and print such garbage.

According to Marca, Ruben Rochina is very close to agreeing a loan deal to Rayo Vallecano for the rest of the season. Guess we have see Rochina in a Rovers shirt for the last time.

Whilst it would have been great to see a player like Rochina involved and contributing fully, I wouldn't be sorry now to see him leave. Numerous managers have not rated or picked him and we can't keep employing him to sit around.

18yrs old 5ft 9in 81kg powerful lad.

Bet he's quick ! but can he cross a ball ?

Apparently from some Liverpool fans I know he's supposed to be rated higher than Sterling at the same age, but better built to withstand rigors of a season. Same sort of skill and speed. Good with both feet and really has a go at fullbacks.

I see Rochdale agreed a deal with Peterborough to sell their striker Scott Hogan. Hogan's agent got carried away apparently so the deal is off, he's still at Spotland. The rumoured fee was £ 1 Million.

Agents, a massive part of what is wrong in football today.

I think at the time we did overpay for him. £8m for someone that was prolific in lge 1 but had never really played at a higher level on a consistent basis. Just think if he had been a dud and we were stuck with an £8m player on 40k per week!

However, £8m for a striker that guarantees 25+ goals each season is a bargain. He kept us up last season and could potentially fire us to promotion this season. He'll also be sold for a big profit when he's sold. There's no way anyone could say he hasn't been value for money.

+1

A snip for a championship player.

QPR aren't in more crap than us. They are much more likely to get promoted, they are getting much more in parachute payments and have the Samba money aswell.

Also, why should reporters by fined and by who? If they are not good reporters that sell papers then they will be sacked, no one is making you buy it.

Can't find any rumours about Ibe. Someone mentioned it here this morning. Is this only wishlist talking? Ibe would be great. Saw few Liverpool summer matches and looked like Rodgers considered him in much bigger role then.

Chaddy found it late last night in the Daily Telegraph, just a snippet I think.

Rodgers' wants him to have a bit more game time to gain experience, so the article said.

here is the Marca article and translated into English

I am growing weary. Sorry, but I do see this player as one of a long list of signings made under a dodgy regime. Signings for other purposes than for the benefit of Rovers on the field. It is a shocking list.

Thank gawd for that. Best ballet dancer I've seen in blue and white halves.

Is his contract up at the end of the season?

Signed 4 year deal in Jan 2011 according to Wiki. So presumably, Jan 2015 would be when his contract runs out. Unless they were rounding up or down, since Jan is an unusual time for a contract to expire.

have Liverpool ressies got a game??

Liverpool U18 is playing Aston Villa, and then they play Rovers on Saturday… No idea if that's relevant in any way.

Other than that there is Copa del Rey and Coppa Italia matches. Norway national team play Moldova…
