FGS5635 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Says here orr's deal ends this summer http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/bradley-orr/profil/spieler_16091.html So if he goes out on loan he is finished at rovers
Guest Norbert Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I do hope that is the case. Poisonous little scouse ____ that he is.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I thought he still had 18 months left?
FGS5635 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Wiki says he signed in Jan 2012 on a 2.5 year deal. So it does appear his contract expires at the end of this season http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_Orr
J*B Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Orr signed a contract extension after his Kean interview, an extra 18 months and 5k a week. As with many other contracts at the time, it was given to him for his support of Kean and wasn't announced pubically. He has another year left after his loan.
sharpysharps Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I see DJ has gone to Millwall on loan. With Best out of the picture (thankfully) that leaves us with only Goodwillie as backup for Rhodes and Gestede. Any signs of any potential incomings? I'm going to hazard a guess that any moves will be left til deadline day....lets hope they've got a new fax machine this time eh

Bucksrover Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 The bit I read about the Orr loan deal to Toronto (if it happens) is that it runs to December 2014 - which will mean when it is up he will only have 6 months left. Hopefully if he gets settled abroad, with the young family he has, he won't want to come back for 6 months. Still the small matter of getting the deal done in the first place.

JAL Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 With all these clearances it should free GB to bring in some much needed quality for the team.
Earlydoors Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'm guessing GB is getting the wages down to bring 1 in on loan. Firstly, is that right? and secondly, where would that be? Up top I guess? Is he still after that Juketiwicz fella from Boro? ..and would it be loan or permanent deal?

AJW Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 until someone leaves we still have 4 strikers to choose from in Rhodes Gestede Best and Goodwillie , but i think we're short in numbers at the back especially now Song'o has gone , we've been lucky really because Hanley Dann and Spurr have been virtually ever presents and if any one of those now gets injured or suspended we've on really got Kilgannon to fall back on
Blue blood Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 until someone leaves we still have 4 strikers to choose from in Rhodes Gestede Best and Goodwillie , but i think we're short in numbers at the back especially now Song'o has gone , we've been lucky really because Hanley Dann and Spurr have been virtually ever presents and if any one of those now gets injured or suspended we've on really got Kilgannon to fall back on True, we're a bit short in defense. Although you could move Henley to left back, bring Kane in at right back. And Spurr can cover centre defense having played there before. However, I grant you that does look a little threadbare to say the least. Problem is up top you really wouldn't want either Goodwillie or Best playing. Best is 5% great 95% manure and that's before you factor in his attitude. And Goodwillie - least said about him the better. It's only really in midfield where we look to be really strong. Oh, forgot to add in King, apparently he can play up top too, so maybe it's not too dire up front. Especially with Dunn sometimes when he's not injured able to play in the hole. But it does highlight the point that a couple of injuries could make a real difference to our season.
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 With all these clearances it should free GB to bring in some much needed quality for the team. Indeed Jal ...... Except for the small matter of a minus £65,000,000 on the books to be dealt with.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Nine out two in. Think it's an absolute godsend we've managed to shift Cambell in all the circumstances, but with losing Rochina as well it does leave us at least one arguably two short upfront depending on your view of Goodwillie. Also very short at centre back, the established pairing of Dannley then only Kilgallon as back up who hasn't impressed at all imo.
1864roverite Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 People forget the debt is mainly owed to Venkys themselves and NOT a bank ! So although we are ferked we are not ferked as bad as we thought we were ! On a better note, its rumoured that Best is going out on loan down south to a team toitering with relegation.
Brfcrule1 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Wonder if Shelfy has gone with him? now he's not out of control anymore. Perth I don't think he has I think the Telegraph article said he didn't go out with GB hopefully sorting out other exits inc Orr. Orr signed a contract extension after his Kean interview, an extra 18 months and 5k a week. As with many other contracts at the time, it was given to him for his support of Kean and wasn't announced pubically. He has another year left after his loan. Thanks Josh this really has ruined my day to see this maybe we could fine him after the poisonous little scumbag was seen laughing at the honesty poster at Brockhall. Hopefully the admiral can do us a massive favour and take him off our hands. cheers! Nice to see a lot of outs, hopefully Best will be added and on a permanent too Your not the only one after what this individual said to a very good friend of mine on twitter I do hope Pulis takes this sorry excuse of a footballer of our hands for good. Total disgrace to his profession.
bluebruce Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 People forget the debt is mainly owed to Venkys themselves and NOT a bank ! So although we are ferked we are not ferked as bad as we thought we were ! On a better note, its rumoured that Best is going out on loan down south to a team toitering with relegation. Some of it is owed to Venkys. Some of it is owed to the Bank of India. If I'm remembering correctly. A thought on Rochina...the LT article said the loan was with a 'view' to purchase. It has said that in two separate articles now. I think this word has been used (as distinct from 'option' to purchase) intentionally. Ie, they are going to decide if they want to buy him and we are going to decide if we want to let him go. Without a contractual clause inserted. At least, this is what I'd hope. I think such clauses are stupid, all they do is take negotiating power from us, so hopefully I'm right on distinguishing between 'view' and 'option'.
chaddyrovers Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 here are two players we are said to be interested in from Pete O'Rourke @SkySportsPeteO 7 hrs Nottingham Forest, Leeds, Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves are all tracking Hull's Matty Fryatt. Pete O'Rourke @SkySportsPeteO 9 hrs Norwich, Leicester, Bolton, Blackburn and Ipswich are all tracking Crystal Palace's Daniel Gabbidon. don't know if true but I thought I would just post them
TBTF Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 With all these clearances it should free GB to bring in some much needed quality for the team. The outgoings are a necessary part of the exercise of getting the massive wage bill/losses for this year down.Even then with them only being short term loans in the main we are still paying most of the wages so the savings will not be vast. This exodus is necessary and even when you start moving out the dross the next realisation will be that we have made only a tiny dent in the problem and that the only way forward is to sell your trophy players-whoever we think they are.- to bring more meaningful cash in. We are miles away from FFP and on course for another massive loss this year. Where in that assessment do we think this about clearing the decks and bringing in quality replacements?? We will finish up with kids from Witton Park School playing before long when we work out that our income is feck all and therfore our budget needs to be feck all Go back to the last accounts and our playing costs were around £35million for the year and when looked at in the light of our income it needs to be around £8million.Its going to take more than a few subsidised loans to sort this out. Interesting that Rangers (and the size of club they are) were asking players to accept wage cuts in order to reduce their £7million wage bill.Ours is 5 times the size of theirs !!!!! Don't hold your breath for quality replacements coming in or Jordan doing one in the summer.
Stuart Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'd like to see us loan a keeper, a keeper, or a keeper.

Those who's view on almost everything, are tainted, or biased by our plight - and those who can apparently quite easily cast aside the situation. I admit to being of the same disposition as you TBTF. My views on the appointment of Bowyer and the outlaying of £8m on a striker while the team struggles are both examples of me simply thinking we don't have the time to kind of "wait and see". As for your other points, well yes, I don't see how we can continue at this level. There you go, another miserable post!
