Can't say Waghorn is filling me with excitement but there seems to be scope to develop him under Bowyer.

What sort of player is Waghorn? Never seen him play but seem to think he's more of a winger/inside forward than out and out striker.

LIke a more direct and stronger Chris Taylor?

Leicester fans:

Have to feel a bit sorry for him but he has never shown anything like the form he did on that he did in his first loan spell with us. In hindsight £3 million was an awful lot to pay for a lad with not much experience. All the best to him though and a fresh start may well kickstart his career.

Can't say I'm excited by this potential signing either. Leicester's views on Waghorn seem to be similar to that of Ben Marshall - started well and has talent but never really pushed on.

Could be a decent back up and can't offer much less than DJ or Best so he'll be an improvement in that sense.

I remember when waghorn broke onto the scene at leicester on loan was very pacy and had potential dont know what happend to him since then and cant belive he is only still 23

They paid £3m for him as well when he was only 20 so he must have quite a bit of potential. Could be another GB bargain to add to Cairney, Evans, Gestede, Spurr, Marshall, Taylor.

The only regret I have is not being 21 in 1995. That would have been the perfect age to have enjoyed the PL win. Being 5 at the time I didn't really understand what had happened.

The stories I've heard from my dad about friends going 'pasty white' when Redknapp scored and him shouting 'it doesn't matter' were always a favourite. Sadly we'll never see them same successes again.

When we won the premier league title I was 5 days away from my 23rd birthday.. I can honestly say it was the best day of my life. I was at Anfield and we had to rely on a bloke sat 10 rows in front with a radio to keep us up to date with the game at Upton Park. It was torture . The feeling when it was over was incredible .. And definitely a feeling I'm sure I will never experience again .

When we won it i was 14 and sat in the Kop with my away top on think it was the black one with thin red stripes the Liverpool fans never said one word about it and the guy behind me kept me fully aware of what was going on at Upton park and could not have been better.

The feeling of utter dejection as that free kick hit the net was to much to bear for a few seconds until the guy grabbed me by the shoulder telling me we had won it and then seeing the away end explode makes it a day i'll never forget.

When we won it, my first game was the V.E. game vs Newcastle. I was 5 and wanted to go before the game had started because I'd eaten all the sweets and finished my colouring book.....

According to Leicester fans he is a 'grafter'

Would imagine his wages could be fairly high if he signed for £3m ! if that's the case he'd need to start scoring a few more.

Compared to what we pay some of our deadwood, he'd almost be on YTS wages :(

I haven't heard of any, the only reason I can think is that Marshall has said good things to ' Gaz ' about the lad, ie,

he's hardworking and ' good team player '

I bloody hope not. We shouldn't operate that way. And its because we have done in the past that we're stuck with Dickinson Etuhu. Big thank you Mr Murphy.

waghorn is a player I really like to be honest, ive seen him play a few times and all though his goal scoring record has not been up to scratch his bloody work rate is second to none, he will not give defenders time on the ball and he will hassle any player on the pitch, he has a brilliant engine and runs and runs,

I think he would do well here, if Rhodes stays then he is our goalscorer waghorn can be the battering ram, even though gestede is meant to be playing that role.

waghorn is a brilliant player on his day and still pretty young, he Is so hard working and determined he will do very well here I can see fans loving him just for his persistent pressure and work rate.

Hardly ever injured, according to transfermarkt site. It sounds like he puts a 'shift' in, but we need someone else to add a few

goals, can't rely on Rhodes all the time.

Just seen Adam's post, obviously knows a bit more, than me.

Marshall wasn't suppose to be any good either.

He hasnt proved himself yet, though he has done better lately. Still a bit for him to do yet.

You cant see Marshall strutting his stuff in the prem just yet can you whilst Leicester City seem nailed on to be playing there next season.

What concerns me is whilst young, why are the best team in the league letting him go, why Millwall didn't put in a bid. He's a available for 450, so hardly a world beater - we're just buying more of the same - not one bit of flair left, save for Dunny and his dodgy legs - can't say I'm salivating at the prospect.

We've got grafters. Need quality to unlock tough defences, and a good goalie. Don't need anything else.

But where is all this talk of Waghorn coming from? Lots of people talking like we have bought him for certain, yet I've seen nothing anywhere source-wise.

Oh I see there's an LT article on it now...but people seem to have been talking with certainty for a couple of days about it and this is only from today?

Hey im not criticising the lad mate. Can't say ive ever seen him kick a ball if im honest. I just hope we're past the stage where the manager is chosing transfer targets based on player recommendations. Its not good from any point of view imo.

That's a good lad Mike I remember it well when we won the title I was 20 at the time and just remember being drunk on an old friends floor after hearing Man U could only draw with WHU a day that will live on in the memory forever then when we were back in the championship in 2000/1 remember that night as clear as day away at PNE was in the local boozer Ewood arms at the time once boy wonder headed it in place erupted everyone shouting "we are prem lge said we are prem lge" after that all I remember the day after is drinking a whole bottle of champagne and waking up with the mother of all hangovers but was great secured 2nd back in the big time but always thought Fulham were lucky that year as rovers should have won the title as they were unbelievably lucky in a lot of their games.

Give over, his only more poor game lately was the City one.

Bowyer is picking up all the best young players that his youth teams played against or players that our backroom staff have previously worked with.

Guaranteed promotion strategy then based on what we have seen so far-not!

To be fair its a nightmare task bringing the wages into line AND getting us up.Probably why we are looking at Championship football at best for several years to come.

Once again Venkys, we thank you for this ruination
