SSN reporting Goodwillie going Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season. Hope Rhodes is fit for Saturday!!!!

If this is true, and i hope it is, the squad is going to be very short.

The squad only has 23 players, 3 of whom are GK and other 3 are useless (Best, Etuhu and Olsson).

Hope Bowyer gets some new players and that some are promoted from the under 21 team...

I'll be honest, Maloney didn't look completely out of place. And we may start introducing O'Connell before long.

C'mon Mike. A 16 year old kid got 5 mins in a match already over and had the adrenaline pumping. You don't chuck him into a "promotion push".

It was the scenario you thought up that was ridiculous. If he is signing players based on a handful of youth games from a few years ago then he needs beating with a stocking full of wet shi.t as it would be up there with Souness and Ali Dai

Maybe Moyes is signing Mata based on seeing him in a youth game lol

Players who have gone on to become professionals. So where do you think he first saw Tom Cairney play? When he broke into Hull's team?

See what managers do is see a player and remember them. If you go through all of our signings, apart from Gestede you will soon pick up a running theme.

Fantastic Mata example though, that made excellent sense.

Just to confirm to everyone I am in no way ITK. I did say yesterday about Goodwillie to Blackpool my reasoning behind it was Goodie is Scottish and the donkey Lashers have given the temp job to Baz Ferguson also Scottish it was said more in hope and jest than anything else.

I in no way dreamed anyone would be willing to take him on & in no way ITK.

It was a surprise to me someone would be so daft to take him on but I do hope this does go thru as to be perfectly honest it hasn't really worked out for him here.

Also the standard of rhodes & Gestede with Forrester just back they are all way better than Goodie.

I'm only suggesting as a bench option rather than 1st teamer. I'm thick at times but not THAT stupid.

Another one gone:

Edinho Junior has joined Philadelphia Union.

Don't know if it is a loan

Has anyone got a list of what happened to all these questionable signings, in particular where they have gone onto? What level of football etc This surely begs a question as to the purpose of these signings in the first place and who gained by pushing them through?

Leonard pls tell me you didn't just say that who gained by pushing them through? Right I give you a clue he slept, worked & did everything at Brockhall his head hardly must have hit the pillow working through the night securing the next Wayne Rooney, Batistuta, Denis Irwin and the rest of the Galactico's & was given airtime to cry and suggest how unfairly us fans have treated his son & who did not earn a single penny from any of those transactions any ideas? :D

Yes. I am sorry about that. I was thinking I am in need of an actual list, though, ,,,and for the wider world too.

At the same time, I am really not sure just how all the Portuguese rubbish worked. The ..er...insomniac had gone by then...or is that the point...that he hadn't? .I know Coco was still there. .Do we think he got a rake off from incomings and outgoings?...allegedly, of course.

Anyway, don't be afraid of the apparently naive question...never did Columbo any harm!

Of all the portuguese players signed by Rovers, I can understand the signing of Nuno Gomes, Fabio Nunes and Diogo Rosado. I don't know what went wrong, maybe they just couldn't addapt to a more physical style of play.

All others are quite strange signings.

Can't see them paying much of his fairly considerable wages. Oyston is a tight arse. Tempting to say we'd be better keeping him here if they're hardly going to pay much of his wages. Cack as he is.
