most people on here seem pretty decent to me? If I met them in real life they seem like they would have a laugh.

to transfers, this isn't news or even true for some its just rumours and people tweeting who they would want so I thought I would ask your thoughts on the players mentioned.

Jordan ibe - rumoured from a Liverpool paper was it?

matty fryatt - from a guy on twitting posting on here

danny gabbidon -same as above

jessi lingard - cant remember where I saw this one but know its a rumour

Sammy ameobi - unlikely but was mentioned, he is the younger one right?

brad friedel - never going to happen but people always mention him in windows now he has no playing time

adam morgan - guy on twitter, I was sure morgan had already gone on loan but this guy said he could be a good loanee

sam baldock - this one and next one is again just a lad on twitter putting it about

scott Hogan - same as above

cant belive I forgot waghorn and varney or vardy is it .. think its varney from leeds lol, anyway yeah them two should be on the list too sorry

Agreed. Weird how spats keep erupting between people, who have Rovers in common....

Re transfers, I see Blackpool have got David Perkins, the Midwich Cuckoo, who had a great game for Barnsley at Ewood...

In order of priority:

1. New striker(s)

2. New goalkeeper

3. New left-winger

4. New centre-back

5. New left back? (although Henley can cover there)

new left back?serious? Spurr has been one of our most constant players and Kilgannon can cover left back(as can Henley at a push)

Left winger as well!!!! same as above, Marshall has been our best player recently,(are you sure you didn't mean right winger, as we have no natural right wingers in the team)

Kilgallon and Henley can cover there, but neither are specialist left-backs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Marshall, Taylor and King are all naturally right-footed players. We're currently playing with an inverted winger system, but having a left-footed winger would allow Cairney to move infield, and also offer more balance should Bowyer decide to shake things up.

My two-penneth. ...... Cant see us signing a gk , we have 3 , yes there are question marks over all 3 but Robbo will be first choice now til end of season i'm sure . I've already stated imo we're short on numbers at the back we've been very fortunate with injuries and suspensions and without being a statto i can only really think of 6 players we've used to fill 4 positions so far this season so i definately think we need another c/b , midfield , well again we've plenty of numbers and with Dunn and Evans coming back from injury it only strengthens that area , on the wings for me we are a touch short King is so frustrating has all the pace in the world but lacks consistency in his end product , Taylor i like he works hard good delivery but for me lacks skill or pace to worry a full back and Marshall has played very well in his last couple of games but struggled in his early rovers career , so an extra wideman would be useful ,up front it looks like Gestede and Rhodes are starting to find a partnership Best we can all agree the quicker he goes the better but that would leave us only 2 strikers ... Could we really bring in 2 more strikers to sit on the bench??? ...... So i short i believe after all the outgoings we only need to bring in only 3 players 1 c/b in to provide cover , 1 right sided wide player in to start which inturn would allow King to be used as an emergeny striker, Best out , and 1 more striker in to replace him and put pressure on Gestede to be Rhodes partner

Id be happy if we bought in one really good player who could make a difference for the promotion push. Don't think we need squad fillers now, just that one bit of spark to win a game.

Thats not a bad shout. Not sure who fits into that mould and is realistic, but Im inclined to agree with the idea

Chaddy. I wonder if a good keeper could make the difference. We're yet to see if Robbo will be fit or not. Agree that we may not get Friedel but he could be worth an extra 4 or 5 points between now and the end of the season. That could be massive. We've already dropped points because of keeping howlers.

In my opinion the window, so far has been constructive. The limp, lame and lazy have all but been shipped out and if we could get rid of Best that would be the icing on the cake. If he were to go then the savings on wages alone from the outgoings would be significant. I just hope we don't undo the good work by signing any more over paid wasters.

While it is great that we have gotten rid of a few players, the overall wage budget hasn't been fully reduced as for the likes of Campbell, Orr and Goodwillie we will be picking up a percentage of their wages, possible in some cases upto 60% of their wages.

As for leaving things until the last minute, there is still a quarter of this window left and the vast majority of the deals will be done during this last week. From what I have seen GB is very organised, the scouts have been very busy over the last few weeks. He went to India to finalise what was going to be available and during this week they will go for targets that fit within the budget. He would have gone earlier but for the FA Cup reply. It is not ideal, they should be using conference calls or Venky's should come to the UK.

Kamy can you explain to us I know skype is available at ewood the facilities are all there why do they never use it? why have the option in the first place it's like someone buying a car paying all the insurance premiums, road tax etc but never taking it out the drive why buy it in the 1st place? just totally barmy.

I imagine their meetings in the format of the Kumars tv show ;-)

lol very good like it!

It's the knowledge that other posters are "real life" people that keeps the place civil. If you are only here to play games then you are going to get a lot of "real life" people's backs up.

It's meant to be a community forum, not a troll's fantasy world. I'm sure WoW would be glad to have you though. :tu:

For you Jim, it probably will always be a messageboard.

For those who aren't miserable old keans it can go much further.

Your loss.

Stu we really should forgive old handbag he obviously has never seen the t-shirt "Football is my religion Ewood Park is my church" he probably doesn't realise for some people football is everything.

Weird that. Only seem Perkins that one game but after coming on as sub he ran the show when Barnsley were a lost cause. I was very impressed with him that day. Obviously he has a major weakness somewhere cos Barnsley surely need all the help they can get. Puzzling.

There's a world of difference between attending games and the fantasy world on here. If football is "everything" you need to get a real life.

Don't know if Dabo is any good but he would be welcome if it meant that Lowe and Williamson would play less time.

I think we need one defender that can play center and full back, one striker, one GK (hopefully Friedel) and maybe a right midfielder...

But, above all, I hope Bowyer finds some quality players that can help the team improve...
