People seem to have forgotten that Robbo really wasn't all that even before the injury. Beaten from distance more than any other keeper in the season we went down.

I don't think we would be able to get Friedel back but Spurs may be willing to let him go out on loan as they still have Gomes there as well. Now that could make a difference to our season.

It would need Brad to force it as they have no reason to let him go on loan. At his age its of no benefit to them

Great, a young defensive midfielder, just what we need.

I wouldn't mind normally as it would mean Jason Lowe would perhaps not play but we know how Bowyer feels about him.

3 DM's at home now?

Great to move all this extra weight but at some point they are going to be coming back as fast as they went out.

Jermaine Pennant's been released by Stoke .... Could he do a job at Rovers? I've never been a fan if his tbh , but he's available and plays in a position most of us agree we need to strengthen

WTF??

Care to explain how you think Kean, Eastwood and an unfit Robinson are the answer?

We are desperate for an experienced goalkeeper.

Poor, very poor, but par for the course.

We need a better No 2 but Robinson's been in fine fettle since his return.

I'd like to see someone of Friedel quality come in but to be fair Eastwood had good game against Forest. I was right behind the goals and he pulled off 4-5 top class saves in the first half... Was the only reason we were still in the game at half time. Perhaps could have done better with the first pen though.

He'd be a great signing for this league but I don't see a player of his kind fitting in to what Bowyer is trying to do. Think he's had enough of the over paid, big ego, wanna be gangster types such as Best & Campbell.

Kilgallon and Henley can cover there, but neither are specialist left-backs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Marshall, Taylor and King are all naturally right-footed players. We're currently playing with an inverted winger system, but having a left-footed winger would allow Cairney to move infield, and also offer more balance should Bowyer decide to shake things up.

marshall on the left is working well, that's all that matters, seems like you and a few others on here just want to sign players just for the sake of it(or just because you personally don't like particular players), where not in a position to do that anymore.

if clubs like burnley can get to where they are with their small squads, then we should in theory be doing better with what we currently have, we need a settled 1st team, we cant keep chopping and changing every week, just get rid of the dead wood(as we are doing) and work on getting the very best out of what we have left.

How the hell were you ever a journalist?

You don't have an original bone in your head.

"Football is my religion Ewood Park is my church" he probably doesn't realise for some people football is everything.

What a sad scenario. How depressing some lives must be. I love football, just not as much as I did but I learnt long ago that it's just a game and on the richter scale of life it's immaterial

Bad attitude, flopped just about everywhere he's been, huge wages = no thanks.

Did you even read my post? I'm judging not from your response. The only (decent) left-footed midfielder we have is Cairney, who's being played wide when his best position is infield. Marshall, King, & Taylor are all natural right wingers played on the "wrong" side, so it stand to reason we need a proper left-winger to play on the opposite. Not a huge priority, but if we're looking to strengthen the squad I'd say it's a consideration.

Despite the huge numbers that left this month, the truth is that they were not that important for the team.
Those that left played 1156 minutes in the championship this season and those that should leave (Best, Etuhu, Olsson) played 532 minutes.
So they are not that important.

I just hope Bowyer finds good players to fight for a promotion this season.

Be afraid, be very afraid:
According to newspaper A Bola, Blackburn Rovers have been following portuguese youngster Gonçalo Santos, that plays in Vitoria de Setubal youth team. He is 18 years old and a RB.

So, French under 21 central midfielder Dabo will join Rovers on loan tomorrow according to the Daily Mail (who have quotes from Montpellier).

Sounds like a good player but his signing would suggest GB intends to stick with cairney wide right.

Can't have worse skills than Lowe. But will GB ever drop Lowe? It really does sound like Cairney will stay on right. That's not clever at all. Will Evans fit in the squad?
