Evans will replace Williamson.

Correct but we need more than just him and Lowe. Cairney and Evans would be best but I can't see him playing that. Dabo looks like he will be a strong presence which is an option we could use.

Our matchday squad today highlights our need for new faces in attack, defence, and midfield

Dann will probably leave shortly which leaves us with only 2 centre halves. We only really have 2 out and out strikers so need another one of those. We also need another winger and a central midfielder. Williamson is old and injury prone and Evans and etuhu seem constantly injured.

If dann is gone only replacement we shud go for is dawson from west brom

I read somewhere recently that we'd like Dawson if Dann left. If we got rid of Dann and brought in Dawson then that is a very shrewd bit of business.

Norwich seems like Dann`s next destination. Not sure he's prem standard though.

So, French under 21 central midfielder Dabo will join Rovers on loan tomorrow according to the Daily Mail (who have quotes from Montpellier).

Sounds like a good player but his signing would suggest GB intends to stick with cairney wide right.

Anyone know anything about this Dabo lad? What sort of midfielder is he?

No we don't. If we have more than him and Lowe we are going to play two bloody DMs all the time, which is playoff suicide. Evans and Cairney is clearly our ideal central pairing.

look like Dann is off to Norwich for around 3 million pounds.

hopefully Bowyer will be allow some of that Dann fee money to help bring in a permanent signing and a couple of loans in.

Rovers have done a very good job of getting rid of players on high wages or players who Bowyer doesn't see in the first team. I know that most are only loans but they wages are off the wage bill or at least some part of wages are off the wage bill

we need a centre back in if Dann goes, a winger and a striker.

if we do sign Dabo on loan then maybe Williamson is leaving on loan. Bryan Dabo has been capped at French under 21's level this season. could be a gem of a signing or not. let's see if we do sign him. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/bryan-dabo/leistungsdaten/spieler_149446.html

But I expect Rovers to be very busy with a couple of incomings and a couple of outgoings aswell.

Guest Norbert

Let's say Dann goes, then we really need a striker, a real right winger and probably another defender. A Dunn replacement would help too, but I doubt we could stretch that far.

But NO MORE HOLDING MIDFIELDERS!!

If Dann leaves, we will need another player ASAP.

I just hope Bowyer has 4 or 5 new players already chosen and almost ready to sign because the depth of our squad is very bad.

Our current squad currently has 24 players and it includes Henrique, Etuhu, Dunn (whom I believe Bowyer doesn't consider as a solid alternative), Olsson, Best and Morris. 3 are GK so that leaves us with 15 players and Evans and Marshall are injured.

I was very impressed with Kilgallon today, as I have been on several occasions this season. I suspect he was signed in the summer as Dann's replacement and suspect that Gary will be more than happy to let him partner Hanley. As we only seem to have money for loans I'm not convinced we need to spend it on another centre-back.

Pretty decent at left back too if required, I believe.

But there will be a transfer embargo next season. Could we get through 60 games or so with 2 centre-backs? I don't think so. Similarly, if we sell Rhodes at the end of the season and can't buy a replacement. What then? Bit of a mess eh?

I thought I'd read that the embargo doesn't come in until Jan 2015, but I could be wrong !

sorry Parson I do not agree Kilgallon has been very hit and miss yes I agree sometimes he can be very good but other times he falls asleep like there goal today when the ball was hoofed straight down the middle Kilgallon should really have been there to put it into row z yet was caught napping and they score it also highlights the glaring fact that in central defence we have no strength in depth if as we have seen Dann is injured our back up options are nowhere near good enough and I would be very much against selling dann I agree he has his limitations but no-one can argue he has formed a very solid CB partnership with Hanley without him we are much weaker.
