Kilgallon had a good game yesterday. his through ball to Rhodes create the goal for Gestede. was excellent pass.

Kilgallon wasn't at fault for the goal but Williamson for not stopping the ball through into letting it by him. was a easy inception to made.

we need a Centre Back(Dawson or McCarthy) if Dann goes.

a winger someone with pace like Ibe or Lingard would be a good loan signing.

a striker in to be the back up to Rhodes and Gestede.

plus it look like Dabo is going to sign on loan aswell

Granted we need a centre half.

King is a winger with pace to burn so we don't really need to blow money on one of them.

A striker possibly. If we play 4-2-3-1 then we can just about get by with 2.

Cairney does always seem to start puffing and panting after about an hour, maybe its partly because he's playing wider than he is used tomeaning he's sprinting around more and his body's not been trained for all that running(as he normally just plays in the centre, needs to work on it anyway.

Taylor too started to wilt towards the end. Maybe playing 4 men against 5 is asking a little too much and taking it's toll.

Who knows with these clowns, but at the moment the line coming out of Pune is that they will review things at the end of the season and see where they go from there.

Venky's don't forward plan so I would be amazed if they have an actual exit strategy so no doubt in May if they decide that they want out it will be total meltdown.

Worrying is not the word.......

Kamy one question comes to mind surely they can't dump us before putting the club up for sale? Also if this was there plan all along why did they not accept the qatari's bid? & make a dignified exit it also goes against everything they have said about being fully behind the club. Kamy do you think if they do decide to sell up do you think that bloke from Stanley who was interested before might come back in? & do you think the 2 Ian's might be able to put together a consortium to buy the club if the worst happens and Venky's decide to pull the plug on Rovers?. Tks for your replies Savio.

"Contrary to reports in our local paper, where it said we've got money to spend, its not money to spend its money to bring people in on loan" (https://audioboo.fm/boos/1877421-audio-bbclancashire-blackburn-1-derby-1-gary-bowyer#t=2m22s).

sweeney it is hardly surprising considering the rubbish Baldilocks along with dastardley & Mutley lumbered us with and considering no sane person would pay the wages those buffoons offered them and we have only managed to get them out on loan it is hardly surprising all our signings are loans & it means if they don't work out we don't lose much but if they do well we can try and do something later

we defo need a winger in. with Marshall out long term, probably 3 to 4 months out at least Imo.

of course we need a striker. now we are 4-4-2 like we did on Saturday.

cmon Savio, you know the answer as to why they wont dump us just yet. at the end of the season, if we dont go up, then thats when they will dump us. If we do go up, do you think they will sell us, knowing that they will be getting some more money going their way? its wait and see stuff right now for Venkys, and to be honest, its actually @#/?. We dont want Venkys around the club anymore, and the sooner they leave the better, well maybe it wont be better in terms of the state of the club, but then rebuilding can take place with hopefully people who are sincere and care about the club.

Telegraph reporting that although money available for wages for loan players any permanent signing must be a free transfer. That doesn't sound like a promotion or bust transfer policy, more like one of keeping things ticking over until the summer when we can review things and look at where we go from there - just as Kamy implied.

do you think that is sensible PB? i would assume that we are expecting miracles from this group of players to get us into the playoffs. Like you say, doesnt sound like Promotion or bust, but by not spending on a few quality players now, that could make a difference, i think we can rule out promotion this season. Next season will then be interesting though.

Prepare ourselves for the worst is how I see it.

I would guess the owner's exit 'strategy' will be totally based on financial damage limitation from their perspective rather than worrying about BRFC and it's future. I would suspect that reality may have sunk in in Pune that we ain't going up this season.

They have signed off 2 purchases on 3 year deals in this window without us having generated any cash yet. Doesn't look too worrying to me.

If we sell dann for 3 mil and can get dawson (or whoever) for 1 mil then using the rest to maybe pay off etuhu sounds sensible to me.

Been a good window so far in my opinion.

My personal opinion is that Venkys will be here next season. I haven't seen anything to suggest they won't be. Take a look at the Leeds owners and you'll see the behaviour of owners that are planning to leave. They are selling their best player, won't sanction any permanent signings and are only prepared to take players on a short term loan deal.

The difference between the Kean era and the Bowyer era is that Kean spun Venkys a web of lies and said we'd win this and qualify for that. GB has said on record that he's told the owners that this is not a quick fix and that they need to build for the future. He claims they Venkys understand this more now. I would be shocked if GB has told Venkys will are likely to get promoted this season so I don't think Venkys will be expecting it but instead, like the rest of us, remain hopeful that it could happen.

If it was promotion or bust then Venkys would either spend a lot of money on players to try and give it one last push but if it didn't happen they'd leave and let someone else deal with the consequences or they would cash in now on players like Rhodes and do a runner. Neither of those things have happened, instead a middle ground approach has been taken where we get rid of high earners and bring in young players for future. That to me suggests the answers and GB are indeed planning for the future.

Every club will review things in the summer so let's not get carried away here and think it must mean they're doing a runner. In fact, they've had a `planning` meeting every summer they've owned the club so this is nothing new. In the summer planning meetings previously, they've brought in shebby Singh and decided to keep kean on as manager despite speculation he had been sacked. The summer meeting will be about transfer budgets, how we bring the costs of the club down further and whether GB carries on as manager.

As we all to painfully know it is no point even try to apply any kind of logic to Venky’s and their decision making.

I have been told on a number of occasions since early September that the owners in their discussions with various people (including Bowyer/Shaw) during Summer 2013 decided that they would review things at the end of the season. They tasked Shaw/Bowyer with bringing down operating costs (namely wages) whilst ensuring the team remained competitive. So the policy that Shaw/Bowyer have determined is to try and shift as many of the high earners within the squad who aren’t going to be of any use and secondly get rid of the dross that was signed by Shebby/Kean from Portugal. They have had some success in doing this. Bowyer decided to replace all of these high earners with hungry young players who haven’t reached their early potential.

So for this window the line coming out of Pune is the same. They will allow players that don’t cost a fee (loans and free transfers) and are happy to pick up wages until the end of the season. This seems to me to backup what I have been hearing about reviewing things in May. It is entirely possible that they will decide in May that they want exit, but it is just as possible that they will see that operating costs have been bought down and that they will carry on for another season, particularly if Bowyer is able to finish the season in the top 10.

The real massive problem that we have left is Best, he is on huge wages and we are desperate to get rid of him. If there are no takers by end of the transfer window then the only real option left is to look at a mutual termination of his contract but that won’t be cheap, or we keep paying his wages and hope that someone takes him off our hands during the summer.

At this stage, I don’t see any evidence that they are going to put the club into administration in March. I think that Shaw was given certain objectives in terms of operating costs which he needs to hit by the end of the season.

Aren't we desperately short of strikers now? Surely if we can't get rid of Best we should at least put him in the shop window once in a while before the summer.

Whoever handed those monster contracts to some of the dross we have signed needs a written warning as well. Performance based contracts is the way to go. I have no problems with certain players making a lot of money, but it shouldn't be a given and they need to earn it week in week out.

Why do you think is the most likely option they will pick at the end of the season? Exit or stay for another season?

Personally, I think things will carry on the same as this season.

If they pay up Best`s contract before the end of the season then surely that's another indication they are planning on being here next year. If they are planning on leaving why not just let him stay until the summer and let someone else deal with that problem and expense.

Bowyers needs a leader, a dominant central midfielder asap if he, along with the team are to progress. To carry on with timid Jason and weak Williamson in the centre is very poor form for the supporters though if he has no money to bring that leader in then fine, but thats the area he should have identified as priority.

Rovers need a leader in the centre of the pitch who can drive the team not two shadow midfielders.

Wouldn't it have been far easier to write-i haven't got a clue like the rest of you instead of speculating based upon a few tit bits!!

So far this window has seemed quite sensible. Lets see how the window goes before scare mongering and trying to speculate a crisis with limited evidence!!!

Looks like Brian Dabo is signing then...

With an option to buy? A little odd signing imho, I would have thought we would try to bring in a striker first and foremost.

Craig Conway also linked via twiter/SkyBet

I like the way we're heading with young players, with a point to prove, and more importantly, who have the experience of being promoted from the Championship!

Dont know enough about him to comment on his play, but he is 28, so doesnt seem to fit the mould of bowyers other signings.

Kamy's info is very good and I certainly appreciate any 'tit bits' he has.

I agree though, nobody really knows what Venkys are going to do so there's no real point speculating at this stage. Everything seems to point to them staying and they've constantly said they are here for the long term and evidence points to that being the case so I'm not overly concerned. We've had speculation every season that they'd go but they haven't, the opposite in fact, they pumped yet more money in. They have sanctioned two permanent signings in January with an outlay of nearly 1m and are santioning more loan deals. As I said earlier, compare that to the Leeds owners who we know want out.

In other news, Cardiff winger Craig Conway is rumoured to be joining Rovers. Was on loan at Brighton earlier this season and impressed. Very similar to Ben Marshall, doesn't have a lot of pace but talented on the ball and has excellent crossing ability. Would be a good signing.
