In other news, Cardiff winger Craig Conway is rumoured to be joining Rovers. Was on loan at Brighton earlier this season and impressed. Very similar to Ben Marshall, doesn't have a lot of pace but talented on the ball and has excellent crossing ability. Would be a good signing.

So if hes so good why isnt he playing for Cardiff in the premier league and have you seen him play ? If so, how many games did you watch him for.

You base your Kamy doesn't have a clue post based on ? Your speculation ?

No Abbey i base it on lack of any concrete evidence being presented or backed up and lots of:-

"no point even try to apply any kind of logic to Venky’s and their decision making".

"It is entirely possible that they will decide in May that they want exit"

"but it is just as possible that they"

"At this stage, I don’t see any evidence"

"I think that"

which is exactly where the large majority of the discussion by most fans centres

I'm not having a go at Kamy he provides very useful and excellent information. At the moment though we seen to be in a phase of good/well balanced decision making.

Why cast doom and gloom when we can be certain of nothing!! Enjoy the small air of positiveness for once??

My opinion and of course not shared by everybody-happy to be corrected.

He's not good enough for prem but a good championship player. Would Marshall be good enough for the prem? Probably not but a good championship player.

Yes, saw him play lots of times early season for Brighton as they are my local team.

Rovers 11 knows everything there is don't ya know

Just giving my opinion on a player. What's your view on him?

What's your view on the current Rovers team and GB? We hear a lot of 'Venkys out' from you but not a lot else. Would be good to hear your views.

"Rovers need a leader in the centre of the pitch who can drive the team not two shadow midfielders."

I was watching the half=time pictures on the old zumbatron with a tear in my eye on Sat when Tugay featured prominently....what I wouldn't give for someone of his callibre....ain't going happen any time soon!

So Rovers 11 why hasnt he stayed at Brighton if he was so good with the opportunity to play in front of a bigger crowd instead of a club thats down scaling ?

Brighton got him in to cover for the injured LuaLua and Buckley at the time. They wanted him back but are cost cutting as well so didn't want to spend their cash on what they deemed not to be a priority position. They are saving their cash for a top striker and central midfielder to replace Bridcutt.

They may well try and get him back now that LuaLua and Buckley are injured again. They made an 8m loss last year so money is tight there despite the big gates.

My personal opinion is that Venkys will be here next season. I haven't seen anything to suggest they won't be. Take a look at the Leeds owners and you'll see the behaviour of owners that are planning to leave. They are selling their best player, won't sanction any permanent signings and are only prepared to take players on a short term loan deal.

The difference between the Kean era and the Bowyer era is that Kean spun Venkys a web of lies and said we'd win this and qualify for that. GB has said on record that he's told the owners that this is not a quick fix and that they need to build for the future. He claims they Venkys understand this more now. I would be shocked if GB has told Venkys will are likely to get promoted this season so I don't think Venkys will be expecting it but instead, like the rest of us, remain hopeful that it could happen.

If it was promotion or bust then Venkys would either spend a lot of money on players to try and give it one last push but if it didn't happen they'd leave and let someone else deal with the consequences or they would cash in now on players like Rhodes and do a runner. Neither of those things have happened, instead a middle ground approach has been taken where we get rid of high earners and bring in young players for future. That to me suggests the answers and GB are indeed planning for the future.

Every club will review things in the summer so let's not get carried away here and think it must mean they're doing a runner. In fact, they've had a `planning` meeting every summer they've owned the club so this is nothing new. In the summer planning meetings previously, they've brought in shebby Singh and decided to keep kean on as manager despite speculation he had been sacked. The summer meeting will be about transfer budgets, how we bring the costs of the club down further and whether GB carries on as manager.

Maybe right there, but i listened to the last web cast where Kamy stated Bowyer was one game from the push after having bad results over Christmas, the gung ho team that played at Leeds apparently saved him -- for now -- but he has gone back to his negative ways and we are losing points we should not be,

I would imagine we lose at Barnsley he will be under severe pressure, and may not even make the end of the season, Again Kamy stated that Bowyer knew he was in trouble had he lost the Leeds match so he was very positive, and he should have carried on in that positive fashion from that result but we have all seen he has gone back into his defensive shell, we cant defend a 1-0.

Why is his old club getting rid ?

No idea.

With an option to buy? A little odd signing imho, I would have thought we would try to bring in a striker first and foremost.

Good point.

Again no idea... He just tweeted "Blackburn" today.

Right, just been catching up on all of this.

I have seen Dabo play and have also spoken to others who have seen more of him.

He is extremely highly rated in Montpellier, so I would think it unlikely that there is any option to buy. It's been a surprise that he hasn't been more heavily involved this season, particularly as they have been struggling, but he was considered to be their best youth product for some time.

If I could look at a best/worst case scenario in terms of style of play (obvioulsy not quality): best - Yaya Toure (defendisve midfielder that is phyiscally gifted and likes to cover ground and put a foot in, but does have ability to get forward and participate in play) worst - Mokoena (defensive midfielder that is physically gifted and likes to cover ground and put a foot in, but can only exist in a midfield that contrains superioir technical ability).

He surprises me a little bit as a loan signing and it is certainly out of left field, but if he gets anywhere close to his potential during his six months here he will be a significant improvement on Lowe/Williamson.

Thank you rovers 11.

Would he have a trial just for a loan move?

It seems a little unusual, but as he has had little first team experience they may wanted to have made certain that the loan move made sense.

Reading more into the reports in the French press it is clear that opinion within Montpellier is mixed as to how good Dabo is and how much opportunity he should be getting in the first team. His youth coach and other member of staff are certain that he should be starting, but the manager is less confident.

What's betting he's "The Next Vieira"?

whats the point of signing Dabo, when Lowe and Williamson cant be seperated?

also, i would love Bowyer to make a cheeky loan bid for Zaha, with Marshall out injured. however that wont happen, right?

Premier league clubs want him on loan, including palace. No way they loan him to us unless we have something they want....but we dont :(
