Dale fan Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Dawson would be a cracking replacement for Dann, singlehandedly transformed Notlob last year. Dale fan, does he have any specific strenghts and weaknesses of which you've noticed? Not sure if you mean Dawson or Jack... Dawson's only weakness is a lack of pace. He's not slow but there are some nippy buggers around and he'd need to play alongside who's fast. He has everything else and would weigh in with 10 goals a season from defence - he attracts the ball like a magnet at corners. Dale fans get frustrated at his treatment by WBA. One minute he's playing well as Spurs, the next he's lucky to be on the bench. He needs a Championship club to get promoted with and kick on from there rather than just be thrown in at the deep end (like Rickie Lambert did with Soton). Jack is a more traditional stopper but he can pick out a pass and is so cool under pressure. He's left-footed too which is usually a bonus. Again I don't think he's the quickest but his positional play and reading of the game are first class,

Is he a talker ?Dawson was like a lot of big lads, slow on the turn and slow over the first 5 yards. Over 30 or 40 yards he wasn't bad. I knew him from secondary school. He was a really nice lad with a good attitude then.
