The defence don't trust him IMO. Which is why Robbo's experience is crucial.

Tommy Spurr was too trusting when he expected Eastwood to come out for a ball he was never going to get. Spurr should have put his foot through it. To attach any blame to Eastwood is ridiculous.

Maybe Jason Lowe has been found out.

Why the £$%& is it always about Lowe ?

Lest anyone forgets - we played Birmingham (who are actually on a good run at the moment) off the park - and but for individual mistakes would have won at an absolute canter. BTW mistakes weren't just at the back - but also not taking the numerous chances we had.

Any arguments you make about Lowe are always totally overshadowed by the hate campaign you seem intent on waging against him on this MB.

How many games have you seen?

In the early weeks, King was excellent and a real threat. He has struggled with niggles I think in recent weeks.

You rate Rochina as if he is a key player for us, he is very similar in that for everything he does well, he does a few things wrong. What is different with him?

Hanley looked a bit rash at first for me, let the team down v Wigan and I felt was slightly off his standards set last year when I said that. In recent weeks we have been much better in defence and Dann and Hanley have improved.

Who mentioned Rochina and what does my opinion of him have to do with whether Hanley has had a better season than King?

I'd like to think I'm pretty fair with my assessments of our team & management performance. I've given Bowyer a lot of criticism for the past 2 games but credit where credit is due, good win today... HOWEVER... This was a desperation move today, It's ok Bowyer coming out and saying "we need consistency" but when your team has picked up 7 points in the past 3 games then, you don't change it. That decision against Wednesday has cost us valuable points.

Things learnt today, play a team to beat the opposition, NOT A TEAM TO NOT CONCEDE.

Jason Lowe is not the answer.

Individual errors need to stop... NOW.

Tom Cairney needs signing... NOW.

Neal - how do you think we played against Birmingham ? Did a team which included both Williamson and Lowe not create numerous chances in the first half ? Individual errors - yes we need to cut them out defensively - but we also need to be far more clinical in front of goal. Against Birmingham - even the three goals we conceded wouldn't have mattered if we had taking a higher percentage of the chances we made. Also - reading texts from people I know that went today - we nearly threw it away again by not taking chances.

I'll chime in here... How one intends to win a game from 3-0 down against Birmingham with Jason Lowe in midfield... God knows. The lads a long distance runner, that spherical thing that rolls around he has no idea about. Love his commitment & I want him to do well but despite what people say on here... He isn't improving. Until he can either distribute, tackle or score goals then he is simply useless to us.

I'll chime in here - we played some wonderful football against Birmingham of which Lowe played a part. He does the job asked of him - and on the whole he does it well. Do me a favour - next time you watch a match - see which player is constantly covering when Dann or Hanley make runs up field. Which player is running back - when others are jogging back. As a footballer I agree he has his limitations - but every team (except the very best) need a player like Lowe to do the dirty stuff.

Almost as pathetic as your constant obsession with Lowe.

Its not my fault that you fail to see it and lets put the record straight Jason is a very nice lad.

Would agree that we should have had more goals in the first half... Particularly Rochina & Rhodes & I wouldn't disagree that taking our chances isn't becoming an issue. Birmingham who, like you say, are in good form & it would have been acceptable to get a point from them but Wednesday... No.

Jal - football is a team game - each cog has its role to play. It is strange that all the numerous managers we have had over the last season or so - seem to disagree with you !

How have Rovers performed over those seasons TDMP and just how many trophies have they won exactly ?

Watch Birminghams first goal and tell me what you think again please.

We had the chances to win that game from 3 - 0 down. It wasn't his fault they weren't stuck in the net.

Lowe has been good this season.

Because you criticised King for only having speed in your opinion, although this year I have noticed that he is more productive.

Rochina's problem is that he has no intelligence and doesn't produce anything really bar tricks and flicks. So surely you have the some problem with him, all he has is tricks.

So Rovers have one of the best goalscorers in the division and the defensive central midfielder allegedly has had a good season - so why arent Rovers in the top six with only a plus two goal difference?

By the way Burnleys goal difference is plus eighteen

I take your point but the brief description of his recent performances are the same of a sunday league footballer... Run around loads and cover for a poor centre half (Dann). I know you sometimes need these players but I'd love him to watch some footage of Savage who used to do the strikers job and chase down full backs from goal kicks and actually tackle rather than jockeying & threatening to tackle. My original point stands, he expends a lot of energy to accomplish not very much. Being generous, he helps us keep our shape but actually affecting play? Nothing.

I could possibly accept him doing this job on his own with 2 ball players like Cairney just in front but playing to 2 holding midfielders (him & Williamson) is just overkill and negative. Perhaps 3 in midfield (like today) is the answer but upon todays evidence, that role should be Williamsons. Somehow I just dont see Bowyer dropping the teachers pet for the good of the team.

It does make me smile when I see you pontificating on here. I'd have thought you would be keeping your head down after you wrote off Gestede in your usual dismissive way after the Brum game.

Gestede hasnt proved himself yet Chris. Watched him live against Brum and he looked every bit a donkey, though ill reserve that judgement until the next game as it would be totally unfair to rule him out on that first showing.

So you are reserving judgement for another game after seeing him for 45 minutes.

Why not ? its only fair, time to settle and all of that, chance to do some good stuff, get those imaginary goodwill points on the board with the supporters.

Very magnanimous and typical of you.
