Who else was one of the '300' that made the trip to City in possibly the darkest day of Big Sam's managerial reign? "Who needs Robinho? We've got Keith Andrews..."

Slight edit. And I was there :D

Not going unfortunately for the most ridiculous reason. I work in Manchester so you'd think that'd be perfect, but oh no, if I'm going, then I've got to take my daughter. (Believe me it's not worth the earache if I don't!). I only finish work at half 6 so I've not time to get back home, pick her up and then get back before kick off.

Had it not been on TV I'd probably have chanced missing the first 15 mins or so but hey ho, looks like ITV coverage for me.

Looking forward to it though.

I know who I'd want on the team sheet if we were playing away from home.

Which game was that? I remember I went to the 1-1 draw in which we took the lead through Kalinic and there must of only been about 300 there then and I also went to the 3-1 defeat when Andrews scored after Diouf missed a penalty but there was about 2000 Rovers that day

Anyone have any ideas of the numbers sold so far? Would really love it if our great away support carried on for this game, even with it being on TV. A couple of thousand would make for a great atmosphere.

Nearly 1.5 k so far :) cracking !

It was a Monday night game if I remember rightly. We were absolutley shocking. Allardyce played to lose and we did. There were caverns through midfield. Nelsen tried but failed miserably. I think it was 4-0.

There were supposedly in the changing rooms for over an hour after the game getting some home truths out.

Could your daughter get the train to Manchester ?

Anyway got two tickets. First away game for I don't know how long - it was Blackpool with Berg in charge.

Unfortunately not Paul, she's only 8, and no it's still not worth the earache.

Over the last couple of months she's become absolutely Rovers mad and don't want that to diminish any, she's ok with the fact that it's away & we both can't go but we can watch it together on TV. Might even get some Clayton Park pies in from Asda for HT to make me feel better! :tu:

By the way, when I say Rovers mad, I mean Rovers mad. To the point where the pink toothbrush has now been binned for a blue & white one! Can't complain though, as this season, taking her along has really re-ignighted my passion too after the last couple of years.

Once again well done to our travelling fans

They've done us proud this season

For the past couple of seasons Tom.

I was told recently that a top of the table burnley (best supported club in the world away from home) only took the same numbers to Boro as a mid table Blackburn Rovers did to Yeovil.....

Made me smile anyway :tu:

I'm guessing you're thinking of the 4-1 in Jan '10. That match was absolutely pathetic. I remember fuming afterwards at how poor we were. We won our next two games after that, though.

Meanwhile just under two years later Steve Kean was in charge and City were beating us 4-0 at Ewood.

Over 2k sold already it seems. Going to be an oldskool style following and hopefully atmosphere :) I thought the ticket sales might slow a bit after last nights City performance but well they were only playing against Big Sam !

Cue a 'bus load' of rovers fans going and ridicule in the national media!

I was gladly incorrect!

A friend of mine bought tickets an hour ago and was told we had sold over 2,200. He had to buy tickets in the upper tier as the lower had sold out.

I have also been told that a decent number of Rovers fans have purchased tickets in the Corporate area. Apparantly City have done a good Corporate deal including executive bus travel and only a few tables remain.

I can only speak for myself but the bigger following we take, the more likely i am to go. I had ruled it out as i am going to forest and thought we would take a pitiful following. However I am getting to the point i don't want to miss out being part of a large following, assuming we get allocated more tickets after the initial lot.

I would imagine a fair few will be buying on Saturday at the game as well. It sounds like we will be taking up the option for extra tickets then. The initial allocation was 2,800 with an option for more (referred to as Tier 3 on the website).

Looks like it's going to be a fantastic following. Visiting clubs usually get upto 6k there in the cup so i'm sure that will be sufficient for everyone to get a ticket who wants one.

Not sure about this Level 3 though... the South Stand that we are in doesn't have a Level 3. Anyway, I hear the additional allocation is going to be in Level One.
