Personally, couldn't argue with taking Gestede off and replacing him with Kane. Derby were all over us in the second half and had the freedom of the park down our right with Cairney not able to provide support for Henley at right-back. Both Gestede and Rhodes had taken an awful lot of punishment by that point so I wasn't surprised to see one replaced, considering we have a game on Tuesday. I could understand the idea of putting Kane on for the last eight minutes to try to keep Derby at bay. Sadly, it didn't work but it was worth a try.

I thought Rhodes was excellent with his build up play today and linked well with Gestede. These two look like they could be developing into a useful partnership. I also thought Kilgallon had an excellent game in defence and looked solid throughout as well a playing a superb pass to put Rhodes in the clear to create the opening goal.

It's a blow losing Marshall with what sounds like a similar injury to Etuhu and Evans. Could well be out for the season if it is.

Cairney looked good before fading during the second half whilst Lowe put in a shift in the centre and made several important blocks. Williamson and Taylor had poor games which enabled Derby to overrun us in the second-half.

Considering the form Derby have been in it could well be a decent point if we can get good results against Barnsley and Blackpool.

On course for a top ten/eight finish which would give us a decent platform on which to build for next season. Whilst the play-offs are still possible this season I'm not convinced we have sufficient quality in key areas. The bench looked very thin today and hopefully two or three new faces can be brought in this week to keep us in the hunt for sixth place.

I read the reports on Derby's last 2 games last night Leics(away) run ragged lost 4-1, Brighton(home) very average, lucky 1-0 win.

Yet they seem to have dominated Rovers for 3/4 of the game, we're supposed to be the home team !

Just goes to show how far we have dropped

Another very good post from you, parson blue.

Lee Williamson today made 0 tackles, 0 interceptions, and 0 clearances. He also made 20 passes with an accuracy of 80%. #Rovers

This is where are problems are lying right now. We can criticise GB all we like but some players aren't performing. Williamson made 0 successful tackles last week and 0 successful tackles again this week. Simply not good enough and no surprise we got overrun by Derby in midfield.

I've read on here it was to do with the floodlights a la Arsenal (?) but the floodlights were on, and "Lights on if you hate Bumley".

So I don't know really but it looked awesome!

it did look very pretty, if a little distracting(we did need something to entertain us today though) I hope it catches on more, it would look amazing at night games.

We were not dominated at all - they had the first - 10 minutes, we had the next 15, they came back with little, Rudy had chances, they had a corner fest just before HT, we got the goal & should have taken the game to them, we didn't and got what we deserved, a point

from BBC. possession rovers 38% derby 62%

Doesn't equate to being dominated, it's what you do with it that counts?

Well I suppose you could say having 38% of the play and getting a share of the points is positive,

then again we were at home

We were lucky to get away with a point today and it appeared that long before the end we had settled for that. Once again in my opinion Bowyer got it wrong tactically in the second half. Hughes was running the game from a deep position and each time he got the ball he had time to pick a pass or advance forward almost unchallenged. For me Dunn should have come on to work in that area and keep a check on him. Lowe and Williamson are like Siamese twins. There are two heads but the body does exactly the same thing. The sooner Evans is back the better. Gestede was the shining light today and in the first half won nearly every ball in the Derby penalty area. It's a pity we didn't have anybody cute enough to get on the end of one of these.

In the last four home games we have picked up five points. Our away form isn't good enough to make the deficit up. In the final reckoning I feel we will be found wanting for a variety of reasons but the manager has to look at himself and question his own decision making.

As a slight aside how long did it take Williamson to get ready to come on? It was almost Sunday League like.

Not that bothered about bbc stats, derby were about as good as us, point at theirs, point at us

Rovers have too many league oners but dont tell chaddy and co. that. Looking at the bench, it looked too dreadful in quality for anyone pretending to aspire for promotion.

I suppose young Mahoney is another one of your 'duds' JAL?

He may well become a very good player but he is yet to turn 17 and has been signed from the Accrington Stanley side which he wasn't playing regularly in. He needs alot more time.

JAL reckons he's part of a bench that is 'too dreadful in quality'. You'll get used to JAL, he's some judge of a player.

You know what, I'm sick of hearing Bowyer telling us how great the teams are that we are facing, the guys on radio rovers also do the same every week I drive home with the radio on!

"to be fair we faced a very good Derby side etc etc"

Its time we come out fighting, stopped showing all this respect to other teams and went and grabbed the 3 points, playing not to get beat is one thing but we just don't go out for the win which is so frustrating to watch and is costing us points in my opinion!

How many times do we open up and watch someone shoot from distance as well? Christ...

Good to see Rhodes & Gestede gelling, from my seat in the Blackburn End it looked like Rhodes had took the ball too far but he then played a great ball back across goal...

I said it last week but we are definately looking like top ten but not in the top 6...

Frustrated...

After twenty years of premiership football dont think many of the older fans think Derby are a good side suppose this is part of GB's learning curve from academy football.

They're 4th. At this level Derby are a very good side while we are middling to good and still in recovery mode after the shock of the last 3 years. We're doing OK but still lacking the little bit of talent and consistency to get higher. At the present time and in view of events at the club I think people's expectations at the moment are too high.

Isnt that because the supporters are sold the idea that this season is a promotional push.

Exactly I think we would all be a little more patient, if we had a better idea what the owners have in mind

to sort out our financial woes, if anything !

ts all down to communication, or lack of it in the Raos case

Derby were struggling under Clough and McClaren has, with the same players turned their season around but player for player are they better than us? I personally don't think so. For most of the game today they were far better than us. They passed the ball well, had good shape and tackled like they wanted to win. The main difference I thought was the managers decisions on the day.
