You really are one of those fans who always sees blue an white aren't you, never criticises. I wonder sometimes what people like you are watching/ listening too. Take off your rose tinted glasses.

Of course i do, all i said was fitness wasn't an issue a few weeks back so i don't see why its an issue now.

You on the other hand said "Get in" when a rovers player got injured (possibly seriously), which is disgraceful.

Don't think we have been defensive tonight - is anyone actually watching the game live or are you all just jumping on a bandwagon?

Playing two striker and an attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3 / 4-3-1-2 is not what I call negative. Bowyer didn't make a change until his hand was probably forced by Dunn being unable to get over the 60 min mark. Can anyone suggest to me who they would have brought on instead of Taylor at that point?

Then we concede a penalty that sounds either stupid or a poor decision dependent on who you are listening too - Perhaps GB is to blame for that one too?

Some people really over-reacting here, you'd think we were fighting relegation by some reactions on here.

It's also not Bowyers fault that we are hurtling towards a financial car crash. If anyone actually expected promotion this season then more fool you.

You're right about the overreactions, although in my opinion we're fighting for the future of our club with every game we play.

Sorry Jimmy....he is just a lower division manager at the very best. Don't rate him even if he is a nice chappie.

You might be right Preston Blue and the fact is he should never have been given the opportunity to be manager -and in fact, he wouldn't have been at a normal club. But in my opinion it's a case of better the devil you know. He's done some very good things at this club and is of course learning on the job. By the sounds of it we've been undone by a poor decision from the referee (I've not seen it, just RoversPlayer).

What is your suggestion? Sack him and allow Shaw to choose another Appleton?

This squad was appalling this time last year. Now we show shoots of recovery and some terrific signings. There's no quick fix.

Thommo "3/4 of the Barnsley lads have been told they can go on free transfers and have come out and shown more desire to be footballers than the Blackburn lads"

:(

Hardly surprise then is it? Good psychology. They are fighting for their futures as no doubt the scouts are in overdrive tonight. In the meantime our lot are in easy street by comparison

So, you're happy with his team selection tonight and of late then? Shine a light it's crap.

Reasonably so, he can only select the players he's got. I'm sure he doesn't tell them to go out and play at less than their best. What they do on the park is pretty much up to them, unless he's got some kind of Xbox type controller in his hands which controls the players.

I actually tend to agree with you. We cannot get rid mid-season, there are other options such as putting someone with experience alongside him or, as I expect, he will be gone at the end of this season.

  • Moderation Lead

it is Bowyer's fault we're playing players out of position, and wasting our best central midfielder on the right wing. It's Bowyer's fault that we're sitting back and inviting pressure, which leads to a penalty they score from though.

Sorry, but I've lost faith in him. He keeps making the same mistakes, not rectifying them and playing players out of position. It's NOT working, and it won't work either.

The defence of 'he's a breath of fresh air compared to Kean, Berg and Appleton' that I've used myself just doesn't wash any more, we should be doing better, a lot better, and we're not. The buck stops with the manager.

I think the problem is a losing mentality that has become embedded over the past 3 and a half seasons.

Players such as Hanley, Lowe and Henley know nothing different and to me accept it as the norm. The players brought in are of a similar ilk with hardly a glittering career behind them so have the same mindset.

There's little sign of anyone sticking their head above the parapet and leading by example, the players just hide and shrink from the task, collectively shirking responsibility.

The return of the rubber dinghy men, part 2.

Bowyer is Appleton mark 2 - quite happy to take 0-0 and 1-1.

Very disappointing
