Didn't he have a series of rather serious knee injuries. Seem to remember him being sidelined for 6 months or so while at Rovers, when he was 18 years old or so. Loaned out to Derby (?) after the first injury, but then got injured again during his loan there.

May be my mind playing tricks on me, though. It is rather a long time ago now...

Was he not on loan at the Dingles when he got injured?

Evans has returned to Full Training today. cant see him being on the bench yet.

my Rovers team would be: - Robinson; Kane, Hanley©, Kilgallon, Spurr; Taylor, Cairney, Lowe, King; Gestede, Rhodes.

bench:- Eastwood, Henley, Morris, Williamson, Dunn, Mahoney, Preston.

I'm going for 3-1 Rovers win.

That bench is looking a lot weaker. Is King fit?

I'm pretty sure Keith Brown played for both clubs too. He was a young player at Rovers who came with a terrific pedigree. If I remember correctly Dalglish called at his house and that was the deciding factor in him coming to Ewood (he was Scottish). From memory he played a couple of times for the first team but didn't reach any great heights.

Ah, maybe Derby was the permanent move he made from Rovers...

Joined Derby permanently from Derby according to the 100% accurate wikipedia.

According to his Wikipedia page made 17 appearances for Barnsley but none for Rovers

Didn't he score in the 7-1 win against Norwich that put us top in 92?

Edit- that may have been Richard..

are people happy with Hanley? i wonder what sort of partnership Dann and Killgallon can form, if they played together. i dont know what it is about Hanley, but he just does silly things which gets him into trouble.

Hanley is a bear head but he is a good defender and wee need a bit of aggression in the team. You need to physically overpower your opponents at centre half.

IM hoping that mahoney starts in place of Marshall now actually..would love to see what he can do

Against a team that will undoubtedly be very physical and are fighting for their lives you want us to play some kid who's about 9 stone wet through? I'm glad you aren't in charge tonight Adam :rover:

No-one should be going into this game expecting an easy ride. They're on the back of a decent result against Blackpool and may well just fancy their chances tonight.
