jim mk2 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Assuming he goes Dann would be a big loss IMO. I know he has his faults but he has that little bit of extra class and it is highly unlikely he will be replaced with anyone better. I cannot understand any Rovers fan who would be glad to see him depart because without him there is no doubt we will be significantly weaker.

Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 BBC Radio Leeds report that Leeds have sacked manager Brian McDermott. I that Varney deal off then? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25992204 Strange timing. Might be linked to that new Italian owner.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted January 31, 2014 And McCormack had just been on SSN saying 'he was committed to playing for Leeds and McDermott for the rest of the season!!
Oklahoma Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 That's probably why he made sure we got Conway deal sorted today . Very Good replacement ! I was hoping Conway would be an improvement to the team...
Hekla Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Any idea if we are going to sign anybody else tonight?
bob fleming Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Scott Dann. Captain Average. I'm struggling to think of any aspect of his game that he excels at. He certainly doesn't inspire, isn't a leader of men nor leads by example. When the going gets tough... he's exactly the same. I've never seen him lose his rag, get stuck in or even fired up. I for one won't be gutted if he leaves.

Liked arguing with his own team though, he will disappear into the ether.....never really embraced the club, no love lost here Leon best to palace according to twitter Can we have it in writing?
chor808 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Potentially big news for Palace fans then - with three more on their way in... fingers crossed one is best
chaddyrovers Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Dann deal done now according to Danny Murphy on radio 5. need a couple of players in now
blueboy3333 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 A Crstal Palace coach has just been on the BBC-red-button-poor-man's-Sky-transfer-deadline-day-nonsense-with-'Chappers' being coy about Scott Dann. Sounds pretty much a done deal. Danny Murphy chirped up with 'Scott is a great lad, should have been back in Prem before now, he's a great team leader blah blah'. He failed to add Dann normally leads teams to relegation. 'Coyley' is there as well. It's ferkin awful. i can't stop watching it.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted January 31, 2014 Danny Murphy being on TV would have meant me needing a new one. Daft scouse c**t.
bringdunnback Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Think Leon Best will unfortunately still be a Rovers players come tomorrow. Shame.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Dann deal done now according to Danny Murphy on radio 5. need a couple of players in now GB just been on Talkspowt, did'nt give the impression anyone else coming in today.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 It's bloody ridiculous if he is. We'll basically have to pay him millions to cancel his contract. No other option if we can't shift him tonight.
bob fleming Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 It's bloody ridiculous if he is. Would you buy him / pay him what he's on now? Hardly ridiculous is it.
rickard Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Unrelated to Rovers, but Frimpong to Barnsley. That's a brilliant signing for them I think.
Backroom Tom Posted January 31, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 31, 2014 Good luck on the hattrick Scott
Proudtobeblue&white Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 If, Leon, would you move for a substantial pay cut? Great training with his mates, irritating the manager and spending all afternoon tweeting sh*te.....whilst remaining the greatest striker since Best.
AdamRochina Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 if we dont bring anyone else in then it would be a slightly poor window bar the trimming
somersetrover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 It's bloody ridiculous if he is. We'll basically have to pay him millions to cancel his contract. No other option if we can't shift him tonight. Or play him considering we are paying him. Also we've only got two strikers and he'd be a far better option to bring on for a goal than anything that we had on the bench on Tuesday.
adsfortheblues Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Lucas Neill till the end of the season? Very uninspiring.
mattjansen Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Or play him considering we are paying him. Also we've only got two strikers and he'd be a far better option to bring on for a goal than anything that we had on the bench on Tuesday. And he would really feel the need to impress right? Would rather see some youngster running his socks off when given the chance.
