LDRover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Am I the only one looking forward to chaddy's positive spin on the window after 11?
West Yorks Rover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I wonder what GB would do if Lowe had to come off injured after 15 mins and Dabo came on and played a blinder. Would be interesting for the next games, especially when Evans is back in a couple of weeks.
yoda's brother Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Am I the only one looking forward to chaddy's positive spin on the window after 11? yep

CapeTownRover Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Cairney for captain is my choice, but alas, step forward Jason Lowe
Backroom Tom Posted January 31, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 31, 2014 Bench? Dabo, Dabo, Dabo, Marcus Olsson, Dabo, Dabo, Dabo
patrickvalery Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 It had to be this way I'm afraid. These financial losses just couldn't last. It signifies to me that the penny has dropped. Promotion would be a minor miracle and its time to accept where we are. In the same way people have said potential incomings should be priced on the transfer fee plus the weekly wage over the period of the contract. We now have to look at this as being £1.75m plus Danns wages over however long was left of his contract incoming. Im fairly sure any manager worth his salt could pick up a centre half of Danns quality and get change out of that amount. The squad has lost a lot of numbers for sure. But it was heavily bloated and needed sorting. It will probably make very little difference to the final outcome of this season. I have to say, the owners have been fair in letting it stay as large until now. Had we been sitting pretty in promotion contention I expect they'd have left it alone to give us a fighting chance in the run in. Now it looks unlikely it'll be needee there was no point in maintaining the squad size. If I was a betting man I'd bet on a new centre half coming in on loan and maybe even a striker too. Unless Best has found god and repents his sins.
bigbrandjohn Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 McDermott sacked so looks like Varney will have to wait.
bazza Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Wycombe have quartered shirts, always have I think..http://www.wycombewanderers.co.uk/ So they have. My mistake.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 GB puts Dunny in CD, alongside Robbo, Kilgallon in goal to protect him from injury, Lowe & Dabo up front, JR on the bench as an explosive sub, I'm available as a holding midfield general, as unlike Abbey, I possess a Rovers shirt, and Leon as ball boy.....I know it's radical, but I've stopped drinking in advance of the call.
neophox Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Conway is Another bargain. Best Brighton player when he was there on loan and Brighton onlys lost 2 games when Conway started.
patrickvalery Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 This sky coverage is rotten. Such a bizarre pantomime. Is anyone else craving a banana?

bob fleming Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 This sky coverage is rotten. Such a bizarre pantomime. Is anyone else craving a banana? A machete actually, it's a ruddy freakscene. Simon Jordan, what a front to back. No er sorry, I remember now, I meant "his honesty is really refreshing".
Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Fingers crossed for some loans in soon. We're looking pretty short in defence and up front.
roversR4ever Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Well Conway is a good replacement for the injured Marshall. Dabo? Haven't got a clue as no idea how good he is. I've been impressed by Kilgallon not sure there's a lot in it between him and Dann. The squad does look fairly small we can't afford an injury to either forwards or CBS . Would be happier if we got cover in both positions.
Darwen Rover 007 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Correct me if I'm wrong but we can still loan players in after tonight; therefore the 2xcb's isn't a complete disaster although highly risky of course?!
Backroom Tom Posted January 31, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 31, 2014 Martin Blackburn says Scott Dann was on £37k a week
