Ronnie Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hello guys. I am currently writing a biography of Ally MacLeod with the cooperation of his family. Generally only his managerial career is covered up here in Scotland and his family have always resented the fact his playing career has almost been overlooked. The book looks at all aspects of his career and I have recently recorded interviews with some of his Blackburn teammates. I am hoping that any older posters on this forum may be able to shed some light on his nickname of Noddy? I realise that it was to do with his running action but the concensus seems to be that it was the crowd that christened him this and not his teammates. Any other memories of his playing days would also be most welcome. Than you in anticipation, Ronnie McDevitt PS - Saturday was the tenth anniversary of his passing Quote
