damo100 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Regarding the complete over the top security for this game, banter between the 2 sets of fans like it's the 1970's, what are your thoughts on the gate we should get?

stanhillrover Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Given the early kick off, along with live tv broadcast, plus a maximum 4,500 away crowd, if we get more than a 20,000 gate I will be very surprised. 18,600 my prediction,
Ben-2000 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Tickets seem to be selling surprisingly well, may well be due to the double deal. I dreaded what the attendan e might be when it was announced on TV together with Cat A+ prices but now thing it will break 20,000 again.
Andy Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 It's banter for the majority, but sadly the idiotic few who take a bit of lighthearted local rivalry way too far spoil it for the rest. And if the 'completely over the top security' prevents one innocent person from being involved in caveman-style violence then it's completely justified. As for attendance, I think we'll struggle to hit 25k at the absolute most.

As for attendance, I think we'll struggle to hit 25k at the absolute most. 25k at the absolute most is an absolute fantasy. 20k at most is more realistic but i'll plump for around 17.5k including 3 to 4 thousand hill tramp scruffs. There does actually seem a bit more interest this season with us being a bit more settled and them going well obviously. Last season was around nineteen thousand on but with the tv i can't see that being passed unless they sell out.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Around 18,000....Sky live has never helped our home attendance whoever the opposition.
SAS Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Been to a few games thos season. Wont be going this one - price - policing and the fact the security measures dont make it a social outng at all. The above makes it an un enjoyable day out.

somersetrover Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 If we beat Reading and Brighton about 23000 but if we don't and our season is effectively over then I think we'll get about 18000.
PAFELL Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I think the attendance will about 18,000. Coming up from Sussex for this one. They have bumped the ticket price up for this one. £37 for JW.
chaddyrovers Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 23,000 Fans. all Rovers fans should be there for the Derby against The Dingles.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The fact the scummers keep winning means they may actually sell out. Leeds brought more, and we only made 20k. Official 18,000, actual 16,000, sad but true, we'll win 4-1, and Dunny won't be in the starting 11! Nurse!
Tabula Rasa Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Can't go because it's a Sunday. With our youngsters playing on Sundays, we can't be the only ones whose season ticketed seats will be empty.
Stuart Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 There's still plenty of time to request a postponement, Mr Dawn.
Ryan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Bringing 3 mates down for this. Enjoyed it last year.
darrenrover Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Pretty sure it will top the Turf Moor attendance earlier this season.
levi Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I think burnley will sell out as they're close to selling the bottom tier already our tickets will sell better with the double deal so I reckon 21536
Ben-2000 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Pretty sure it will top the Turf Moor attendance earlier this season. Without doubt, it probably more or less has already. B*rnley have said they have around 2,000 tickets left but only 600 remain in the lower tier (which means only a hundred have been sold in the upper).
tomphil Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Next home game now after Brightons draw in cup. Hopefully that will boost the home turn out if we get a couple of decent results between now and then of course
tomphil Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 They've sold out the 3k in the lower tier already according to clampet mad. The ones in the upper appear to be for families only so now expect them to ask for more in the lower.
AndyNeil Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I imagine that they put them on open sale early doors in the hope that they'd sell out quickly and then try and put more pressure on the club/police to give them more tickets...hopefully the club give them two fingers.
