Backroom Tom Posted February 17, 2014 Backroom Posted February 17, 2014 I thought this deserved a thread of its own but sadly Sedman has said his dad the hugely popular member - Tashor has sadly passed away. Here is the original post: 'Tashor's my dad. We lost him last month after a short battle with cancer. He didn't post much in recent years but he was always on having a look, and was very fond of BRFCS. He won a 'Funniest poster' award or something on here a while back which I think he was secretly chuffed with!' Rest in Peace Tashor your unique posting style has been missed and I'm sure you will be missed greatly in the real world! Sleep tight Quote

tommm Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hi everyone, I'm tashor's other son. Thanks for posting this Tom M. My dad stopped posting a long time ago but he still enjoyed reading the board regularly. He was an extremely bright man and a loving father. I had a season ticket with him and my brother in the Jack Walker stand from being about 10, until I went to university. I was a toddler during 94/95 - apparently he would come back from Ewood, ask me who'd scored and I'd always reply "Shearer" which was usually correct. His last game was the 1-0 win over Watford in October. He was only 52. Think he deserved a few more years than that! Quote

Amo Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Didn't he have Jigglypuff as his avatar? I don't know why I remember that. Anyway, a very unique poster who will doubt be sorely missed on here. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones. Quote

Stuart Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Love this tale from tashor, it was from Rovers v Villa November 2010 but it could be the commentary to many a Rovers games. Strangely poignant today... Miserable grey day today. Not looking forward to it so much has been a hassle in the last few weeks lots gone wrong, hey ho........ I like the kick off time though Sunday lie-in, wrap up for the cold and off to Ewood for a late breakfast at McDonald's. I'm not enthusiastic about today's game Villa have pace to burn and are probably too good for us despite their injuries...... Poor away turn out and not much better by us. Polite applause for t'Indian chicken producers. Shyiite first half only enlivened by a phone call from my eldest who is sat on a river in a fancy dress rowing eight wearing a mask and his blue'n'white replica shirt but would rather be next to me and his brother in his usual seat not much to report..... Drifted off looking out of the ground seagulls flying overhead, miserable looking trees, crappy houses run of the mill northern town how bizarre is it that millions of people around the world are watching the same game as me ??? How long can little Blackburn sustain a team playing in the world's best league........... http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/brfcsmilie.gif At least we are level at half-time and we have had a good shout at the idiot linesman who wasn't going to give us a free kick when Diouf was clearly fouled.....AND SHAG ME SIDEWAYS Gamst has scored............great half-time and now I REALLY care.......... Villa fans remind us that we are a small town in Burnley they are sophisticated residents of England's second city http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/laugh.gif . Doesn't stop us scoring a second goal and now I am engrossed with what I am watching, singing and clapping, everything else forgotten.......... Whistle goes and WE HAVE WON up to 11th......... Struggle up the hill with a smile on my face and drive my youngest home...... Monday tomorrow but I no longer care........ p.s. Venky's you hold in your palms the hearts of so many small town boys and girls like me do the right thing by us and good luck........... http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/wub.gif http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/rover.gif The sad loss of another Rovers fan taken... ...far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far too................. ....soon.RIP fellow Rover. Guest Norbert Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 RIP Tashor. I liked his posts even if I didn't quite understand some of them when he was in full flow. Quote
Ozz Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 52 - that's so sad. It's very difficult to put in words, especially on a football forum, how I - and doubtless everyone else - feel for you guys and Your family. I wish you well for the future. Tashors posts were great, On the evidence of those contributions, I imagine him and I would have got on very well if we had ever met. They jumped off the page and shone out among an ever increasing gloom of juvenile, repetitive posts, and his contributions will be missed-but nowhere near as much as he will be by his family and friends though.
