I said before the game the players have lost the fight and are content to finish in midtable now. Nothing from the performance suggests otherwise

Bowyer is complicit in this and has failed to fire the players up properly and set us up in 3 key games

I don't want him sacked but I give him 3/4 more games to show he's the right man for next season

You really thing their aspirations are that high?

Well I'm choosing not to be cynical, they're still pros, but from what I've seen and heard the players season is run

well that is not what Bowyer has said

"But Bowyer said: ``We've got 12 games left to play in now and until it's mathematically impossible, you keep striving to get as high as you can and hopefully into the play-offs."

Talking of Ground Hog Day:

Well we're currently 66-1 to win play offs and 40-1 on Betfair to be relegated, take your pick.

Ones a fair punt if you factor in how we're playing and you also consider the potential of a 10 point deduction.

You can never guarantee a win but you can a defeat.

Totally hypothetical and unlikely but it doesn't half make you think.

Can't comment on the game from a spectating perspective because I had a shed load of marking to get through after not lifting my finger all weekend (for obvious reasons)

I'm concerned with what I heard over the radio though. It seemed like we had no reaction from substitutes or half time, and that is directly related to the managers job. It is also the same place where issues have taken place all season long. If we concede first we tend to lose. We need to see some reaction for the Huddersfield games or we could be dragged further into the mire. We are in no immediate danger of relegation though, and although some of you short sighted buffoons thought we might get promoted - as PB says it was never likely with the squad issues and recruitment and bedding work ahead.

Hopefully we can get some consistency into the actual first 11 also. I'm not going to do a "stuart" and take my hatred out on one or two of the squad. If he picks them, thats enough for me, after all he works with the guys day in day out and is not merely a bus driver with a football manager dream. What we need though is the same defence and midfield to play a few games. We also need Cairney back - I don't care if you think GB utilises him wrongly, he's been our best performer all season and the 8 games we've missed him in we've have only won 1.

Some of the tripe I have read though is embarrassing. People complaining about GB's tactics being reactive and not proactive? Well what about the fans opinions being completely reactive to a result? We've lost three in a row, it's bad and things have to improve. Thats it. None of this "If Kean Bowyer really loved the club he'd walk" bullshit. How would replacing Rookie number four with rookie number 5 be a good idea? How long do we give Rookies No6 and 7? Do we let them move 40 players out and bring in another 20? (I'm looking at you K-shod)

Comparing Gary to a charlatan bald headed moron, who inexplicably became rich at the hands of the fat controller in his "indian summer" just shows how little memory some of you may have left. I suggest less Class A drugs.

Patience is the only thing we need in this situation (from a fans point of view) We have a group of football league players and an inexperienced coach - supported by a former shelf salesman, Gandu Babu, the Loons from Pune and a mountain of debt that might be toppling down on us sooner rather than later. A new "manager" is going to make little to no difference long term, because the same issues above and below need sorting. I read a poster suggesting Gary Megson last night... stone me.

An example would be the likes of Leon Best and Dixon Etuhu. The entire Bournemouth first 11 wage bill is less than these two players combined... And they are completely worthless in terms of the first team. This is the kind of issue that needs dealing with before we worry about whether the "manager's learning from his mistakes".

Life as a Rovers fan is keaning kean right now. But thank christ we have "stagnated" as Stuart put it, because I'll take a keany mid table season over 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13.

Last season we didn't have stability and ended up mid-table. This year we have had stability and have ended up mid-table. So regardless of the journey we have ended up in the same place. Stability has provided no more progress than our erratic approach did the season before. it's a results business and they haven't improved at all with 12 months worth of stability. 12 months is a very long time in football. just look at Derby, nice and stable, they sack the manager and look where they are now?

The fans reacting to a result is the same as Bowyers subs? You'll have to explain that one I'm afraid as I don't see the logic there at all. I would just say this, clearly you have reacted because of the emotions evoked through reading the board. how is that any different to what you are accusing others of? So it's not alright for the fans to react to a result but it is alright for you to react to their comments? One rule for you and another rule for others me thinks.

If you can show me one post were Stuart has used the term I hate in reference to these supposed I will support your views. however I would also like to carry on the theme from the last para here. You see he has never used those words, you have decided that that is what he means. However you are not Stuart, you do not know him well and so consequently you cannot derive his motives from his words. So what's happened is you have used your own believes and values and decided that if you wrote that it would imply hate and yet, you don't know Stuart so cannot make that call. All you have done is projected yourself onto stuart and come up with what you have. I think that's rather poor if being honest given you are beratting others for reacting, forming opinions etc as you have done previously. The other aspect here is you are saying that others are wrong for saying what they have about GB and yet you single out Stuart?

you have stated we should be patient, we had to shift out the deadwood etc, refrom the club etc etc and yes you are right here but you've missed out one aspect. Next season we will have to cut the wage bill even further as our parachute payments will be halved. So 16M becomes 8M, I'd guess that's about 30-40% of our total income? So great we cut the wage bill this year, fantastic, but next year guess what? We need to do it even further. So next season the job will become even harder as our resources will decline. So given this season we've achieved the same as last, with more stability, how will we fare next season with stability and 30-40% less money to spend on players? Patience isn't the key as time isn't and never has been on Rovers side. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place. We need promotion, our funds are declining, so consequently then does the quality, this then makes achieving promotion harder each season our money declines. We had two years to do it, we have two more before we will have only our own money with which to achieve promotion. Patience is and never was an option for rovers. Also consider the owners? Do you really think they will wait for it to happen? What will they do with a 100M+ millstone round their necks? What did they do to most famous Bollywood studio ever? that's right once they @#/? it up they closed it down and ran away. The longer it takes the worse it will get for rovers. What was needed this year was simple, everything all at once and in one season, stable, promoted and fans back on-side. It doesn't matter one bit what one man is possible of doing that was what was required. We needed to win a million quid, so didn't do the accumulator that would have reaped us those rewards, we bet on the safe option the doubling up as it's termed in betting. We won the bet, great, but the winnings aren't enough to stop the bank taking the house away.

And just so you know being a shrink and knowing that you judge others based on yourself I'd like to add this. No one who hasn't done class A's would ever say stay of them in the manner you have. You are clearly trying to elude they have somehow affected his thinking. Clearly you have done or do do them.

People keep harping about stability but you can only really judge it at the end of the season. If we finish 4/5 points above relegation then all the loan players depart and the old crap out on loan comes back. Back to square one with not much to build on next season.

Well yep-how does signing 19 new players in one season and moving 15 out ever resemble stability???

I am gobsmacked by this continual notion that we have stabilised. We are still losing £2million a month, we have brought a load of absolute crap in lately and we will see the crap of the last 2 years return in Summer. I doubt in this season of ''cost cutting'' that we have saved anything off last years losses bar the odd court case and managerial pay off costs.

We are as bang average as we have been for an awful long time and a manager who has been allowed to bring in 19 players has to be accountable. I would rather he brought 3 or 4 of very decent quality in but it seems like he wants ''yes men'' first and foremost. The recruitment drive went wrong early doors with marrow, Judge, Eastwood and Taylor as the first 4 through the door. Honest pro's maybe but in the context of needing to get up any time soon, then not on your life.

First post I have written since going to this game.

I haven't read the other posts but personally this game took a lot out of me.

Bowyer taking off Gestede was a really poor decision, especially as we then went on to just knock long balls up for rhodes to battle 4 defenders for.

Glad it's not a home game tomorrow because I don't think I could face the journey to watch a repeat of that. Good on those going to huddersfield.

Another rookie manager would be another mistake

Coco - Rookie

Berg - Rookie (in English management)

Appleton - Almost a Rookie

Bowyer - Rookie

BUT

We need someone who knows how to get results from the players he has.

"Bedding Work" - I don't see Uwe Rosler needing bedding work at Wigan. Whelan got shut of a guy taking them nowhere and recruited a manager with something about him.

OK, Whelan and the Raos are incomparable as owners but the point is you don't just put up with someone who patently isn't up to the job.

Bowyer has had a full pre-season, brought lots of players in, no Shebby, no Agnew, not much Veny interference (it would seem) and we have the same points as last season.

Stability with a manager who is moving us forward is great. Stability with someone in his first management job who is out of his depth and floundering is a recipe for trouble.

They should give GB the chop and appoint another rookie so we get another relegation. That way Venkys might finally get fed up, call it a day and sell up. Would be progress of sorts.

Unless nobody wants to buy us. Which, given how long we were up for sale as a premiership club, seems quite likely.

What is your understanding of the word 'sell'TD ?

I don't really want to bring up what will go down in the annals as the worst game ever in the history of football. But I was just wondering if protests were expected at this game as this seems to be the only game where fans were chicken searched before entry. I haven't been patted down at any other home game this season - including The Dingles.

I assumed that it was due to the problems with our fans using pyrotechnics at Bolton and for the Burnley game.
