"The arrival of Venky’s brought another ugly plague to Ewood Park – a group of fans with no patience and a desire to kick off whenever things go badly."

Seriously, this is the kind of thing I'd expect from Sky or Anderson's cronies. It is not acceptable in the local paper

Probably a PNE fan !

It is not totally inaccurate Leonard. Nowt to do with the venkymob cos a section of our fans aren't happy EVER! Who can forget the booing of Allardyce when we were winning 3-0 against a relegation rival with just a few mins to go.. kicked off cos a player chose to pass the ball back in a valid attempt to retain possession for the final minutes. Our ignorance frequently knows no bounds. :glare:

I think you could make a similar point about mosts groups of fans, tbh..I know it's getting late,.but consider this...

.A really miserable whinger goes to the shop and returns to find his house has been burgled, ransacked and generally trashed. The police do nothing..

.Does his whingeing nature mean he has lost the right to complain about the invasion of his privacy and damage to his property?

I suppose the criticism would come if he refuses to ever move on because that bad thing happened.

Warning: this inaccurate, repeat post completely ignores context (both of, and during, the game), prior matches/performances and acknowledgement of human emotion.

Blaming the fans? Is he on work placement or something??

The current state of BRFC is the fault of Jerome Anderson, Venky's, Steve Kean, and anybody that's had their hand in the till (or benefitted from any dealings) in the last three and a half years, as if any of us needed to be reminded.....

He is correct though. It's not out if context either- it is true that every club has a section of fans who cannot see "the wood for the trees"

The size of this section is shown by the fact we are having this topic and poll. In my mind, nobody with any real sense could say "sack him immediately" yet 59 have said that.

This is not an extreme viewpoint either- taking in the last 3 years should make anyone stop and think but it doesn't. Some people are hardwired to be unhappy. I though Dan Clough hit the nail on the head, it's not "Venkys propaganda" it's essentially reality. It sickens me, but I'm not a billionaire so it's keep watching and carry on.

That's the point- why are some of us shouting Gary bowyer out, when the real problem will remain? Why are we having this discussion or Topic?

The last 3 years has changed a lot of our football fans, but I think the 20 years before has obviously bent some expectations. Gordon's point remains. I had people all around me shouting 442 and negative @#/? towards BS when we were winning! (And that's before Venkys...)

Glad I don't have your mind then.

It's about opinions. I want Bowyer removed as I see very little progress in terms of performances ( there is definitely little progress in terms of points on the board).

Allied to this, the guy has no tactical awareness that can change a game and a lack of presence / personality.

You appear to be happy with things as they are and worried that change will bring a turn for the worse, which can be a bit debilitating.

So I have no sense?

Currently, out of 275 voters in the poll, 55 want to definitely see him as manager next year.

Listen, I can say the sky is pink without anything to back it up- does it make it true?

A famous Brfcs quote "your only as good as your last game" well Iosing 2 key players to injury in the first half and still winning the game doesn't seem like "the guy has no tactical awareness". (Don't get me wrong, I don't think GB is the next Kenny Daglish either)

Even if that was my point, does it take away from (135th time I've said this) that THE OWNERS WILL NOT REPLACE HIM WITH A MANAGER.

If you wanna see john keeley, Colin hendry or Eric Kinder in charge- leave your vote where it is

edit -

I realised you asked me another question - The answer is Yes, you have no sense.

You aren't surely putting forward the last game as proof that Bowyer has tactical awareness??

His masterstroke of getting their keeper to throw one in the back of the net was stunning.

He should be judged over the whole season and the team that he has assembled and the way he approaches the games, not "he just won one after three defeats in a row" nonsense

With Bowyer in charge we won't be promoted not this season or the next. After that the money runs out and we could easily be in league one or worse, so let's at least try.

Or we could all come and live in frightened-of-change land with you

I'm not frightened of change, I'm just relieved that the hurtling down the table(s) was averted. You say look further than one game, well I say look further than one season. The monumental slide of 2010-13 has levelled out and although that may look like failure to you, it had to happen before we could start looking up again. The fact we are LOOKING UP shows the improvement in expectations and that itself is testament to the halting of the slide.

British law is based on precedent. They base judgement on what has happened before. When basing your argument for sacking and replacing the manager, use precedent. It say's he will be replaced by another rookie.

What we actually need (and have needed since November 2010) is an experienced manager at the helm, who is respected for showing capability as a manager. I am sure we both agree on that.

So there you go - I'm not scared of change, I'm scared of history repeating itself.
