somersetrover Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 What exactly was the idea of the Dabo signing, he hasn't played one minute of first team football. He still can't get on the pitch when Lowe and Cairney are both out. So why exactly was he signed was this another dodgy agent deal, like with our Portuguese invasion last season or does Bowyer intend to sign him in the summer and brought him in during January so that he can adapt to a new country, language and team mates ready for next season?

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 30, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted March 30, 2014 Same with Songo'o, defensive crisis and he still doesn't get a sniff....
jodrell Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 He's not been on the stable diet. so he's not a donkey?
ABBEY Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 He not a Stabilty kind of donkey .. He's a wonky donkey
Guest Norbert Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 It's obvious-we needed to replace Goulon and Lingazi for a long time.
TBTF Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Defensive crisis, we sell Dann and leave ourselves with no cover...and then ship Songo out on loan to the Scottish Highlands Dabo and him are clearly 2 excellent pieces of business to put alongside Marrow, Judge, DJ etc
broadsword Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 now now. the push for stability is a winding road.people can see what gaz is trying to do here and we must take the positives and crack on. clearly Bryan is the new Roy Keane in that he has an Irish first name. putting him on the bench is a tactical move in that he needs to go backwards before he can go forwards. I'm sure in the fullness of time dabo will be seen as one of gaz's best signings
davulsukur Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 There was a bit in the LT the other day at the end of an article: Bowyer added: “I think the loan signings we’ve made have all played a part and made an impact. Probably the only one that hasn’t is Bryan Dabo. “But he’s not too far away, it’s just the lads who play in his position have been playing well which hasn’t given him an opportunity to play. “But he’s got better since he’s been here, he’s a great lad, he keeps working hard, and we’ve got nine games left and I’m sure at some point he will feature.”

tomphil Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Blackburn Rovers in strange signing of foreign nobody.......that's a first
joey_big_nose Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Have they?Echo that. Central midfield has looked weak. Why not give Dabo a try?
tkturner Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 So, in short, we signed him when we knew he wasn't playing at the level he is now and he can't get a game? Brilliant... I would give the guy a chance, stick him on for half an hour...
perthblue02 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Echo that. Central midfield has looked weak. Why not give Dabo a try? Can't see that happening, Bowyer has a very cautious approach and can't see him trying something radical like this to derail our push for mid table stability
rigger Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Same with Songo'o, defensive crisis and he still doesn't get a sniff.... It's a long way from Dingwall
oreilly Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Serious whinging on this site, not all transfers at this level are going to work out, when you are scraping around for lads on very little money (relatively) and small/no fee - some won't work out. Bowyer knows him a lot better than we do so he knows whether he should thrown in or not, have a little bit of faith! look at the likes of man utd, zaha 15m, angelo Henrique 4m, buttner 4m, bebe 7.5m - there have to be misses in this game as much as there is hits!!
ABBEY Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Serious whinging on this site, !! Aye everything is rosy

True, but Dabo and Songo'o- aren't they yet to make an appearance?? Not to mention the Portugeezers.....
rigger Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 True, but Dabo and Songo'o- aren't they yet to make an appearance?? Not to mention the Portugeezers..... K-Hod, you do realise don't you that Songo'o is out on loan at Ross County.
OJRovers Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 It's just a strange one given Bowyer's stance on getting young British players in who are going to improve the team. You never know, he could go on to be a world-beater. Anthony Modeste was possibly the worst striker i've ever seen at Ewood, now he's doing well in the Bundesleague!
Hekla Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Wouldn't say Modeste was the worst. Yes he couldn't finish but he looked like a decent player with some potential, good to see him performing well in Hoffenheim.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 1, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 1, 2014 K-Hod, you do realise don't you that Songo'o is out on loan at Ross County. Of course. But the point still stands!
Ozz Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Yeah think I`ve seen this one. Felix Dexter plays Dabo, and Gary Bowyer is superbly rendered by Rob Brydon. My favourite scene is where Rob Brydon pretends to be a tiny man trapped inside the penalty box, whilst David Dunn,(who plays (with)himself) beats a giant chicken drumstick for 24 hours non stop in the Blackburn End-much to the chagrin of a non existent crowd of just under 13,000. Classic.
