LondonRovers Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Right into the tail end of the season now and our third game in a row against a team fighting relegation whilst we very optimistically continue to push for promotion. They've been on a very up and down run of form lately, losing at home to Barnsley and Reading, but beating Wednesday away 3-2 last weekend. I don't know how to call this one, with our recent run of stability a draw wouldn't surprise me, but this is one we should definitely be winning. If we do, and results go our way, we could go into the last game of the season with a chance of the playoffs. Another match nice and close to me, and I reckon we'll have 6 or 700 at the game, although I do wonder how many would be making the trip down if we had beaten Yeovil. 4-2 Rovers (Gestede with another hatrick and Rhodes)

rickard Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'll be there! Flying over from Sweden with my brother and a friend. It will be my first ever Rovers game. And my first Enligsh game since I watch QPR vs Nottingham Forrest at Loftus Road in 1995. Let's hope for a great game!

Be careful with your phones and wallets, a lot of dodgy people in the capital.

tomphil Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 A 1-1 will finally nail all this play off crap talk.
West Yorks Rover Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 We're not all dodgy! No I appreciate that, after all the Queen lives their and I hear she's quite respectable, Boris Johnson though mmh ?
Backroom Mike E Posted April 24, 2014 Backroom Posted April 24, 2014 We're not all dodgy! You're all dodgy, shandy-drinking pricks daan saaf
mattjansen Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 A 1-1 will finally nail all this play off crap talk. I'll go for à 3-0 win so we might get that crappy play off
Amo Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 A 1-1 will finally nail all this play off crap talk. Same here. Think we'll fluff this one.
Stuart Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I think we'll win this so that the club can spin the line that our 'exciting season' went 'down to the wire', with 'a young team' who can 'push on next season'. And before the final pixel has illuminated it's black Times New Roman glow on the marketing copy material... ...Reading will score an injury time winner and that will be that, with the copy editor strategical squeezing in a few 'almost's in mid-sentence. Obviously conceding an injury time Charlton equaliser is more realistic but I'm trying to be 'romantic'.

What's there to spin? That's exactly my belief, if we're using a top 10 finish this season after nearly being relegated last.
Old Bay Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Recent trend would make me think it'll be a 3-3 draw with a late one for either side to nick a point. Either ways, from the way Reading and Leicester it's pretty much over.
tkturner Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I reckon we will win easily… 3 nil It will go down to the Wigan game and we will have a decent atmosphere for the last game but miss out and be gutted...
Stuart Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Dream mode on: it would be wonderful to make the play-offs by beating Wigan at Ewood. Ideally they would miss out as well but I'm guessing back to back 5-0 wins are unlikely.
ABBEY Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 What's there to spin? That's exactly my belief, if we're using a top 10 finish this season after nearly being relegated last. as opposed to top 10 in the prem when these slime balls took over.
Backroom Tom Posted April 24, 2014 Backroom Posted April 24, 2014 2-0 win with a Rhodes double and with other teams slipping up again We'll also beat Wigan and end up a point or two shy of 6ths IMO

Can only imagine if you were head of marketing Stuart "Don't come and watch us, we're @#/? and Bowyer's a keaner"
JAL Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 How do people view the pre match interview with Varney.
perthblue02 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 How do people view the pre match interview with Varney. I watched it on the laptop whilst sat at the table,

AspRover Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Normally don't miss Charlton away - I live about half an hour from the ground. Quirk of fate means I can't get there this weekend so it will probably be a belter. 4-0 Rudy hattrick and Robbo to scuff one in from a corner.
tomphil Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'll go for à 3-0 win so we might get that crappy play off You might want to have a word with Reading then, ask them nicely. I'm sure if we did get to the play offs you'd end up feeling 'glad all over' anyway
Amo Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 When I think of Charlton, I think of Clive Mendonca. Works on an oil-rig now, apparently.
