Hasta Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Does anyone else see the irony in the chance that Burnley could put us in the playoffs? If you are clinging to the hope of Burnley beating Reading by so big a margin it helps us clad back a 7 goal defect on GD you've got issues !!

Cherry Blue Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 We need Brum to beat Wigan on Tuesday. Brum fighting for their lives and Wigan, who have played a lot of games this season, lost Maloney today. Could get very interesting - hats off to B'pool.
EWOODACE1 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Does anyone else see the irony in the chance that Burnley could put us in the playoffs? If they are in party mood they could turn over a nervous team. Clutching at straws Yeovil and sheff wed ruined our chances
Neal Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Did Cairney play in the middle? and Evans... Who'd of thunk it?
Husky Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "Journalists" are so lame. They're talking on the radio like they don't even know Wigan have a game in hand.
Majiball Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 and Evans... Who'd of thunk it? Tell you what that's a cracking move, wish I'd thought of that one... Good win, too little, too late, though.
Backroom Tom Posted April 26, 2014 Backroom Posted April 26, 2014 All you can ask is the manager learns as he goes, the last couple of games show signs of that and he will have won a lot of fans back myself included
Darwen Rover 007 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Is not ironic that a 'late' reading goal has probably put an end to our hopes? On another note, for the first time in ages, I am feeling really positive about our football club, can't wait for next season now. Agreed!
Derbyshire Blue Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Well Birmingham drop into the bottom 3 and play a wigan team having lost 3 of there last 4 games...we can only hope...but Birmingham should be fighting for there lives
Majiball Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 All you can ask is the manager learns as he goes, the last couple of games show signs of that and he will have won a lot of fans back myself included Pressures off
Husky Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 On the slightly positive side, if Wigan do not win midweek then a draw at Ewood may make them miss out on the play offs which would be some payback for May 2012. I'm just hoping it won't be a dead rubber. If Wigan don't win at Birmingham. We can beat them and at least get to sing "You're staying down with the Rovers!", which is a bit lame..............BUT FUN!
blueboy3333 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 and Evans... Who'd of thunk it? we've won quite a few games lately without Evans and Cairney in the middle. Evans has been injured and apparently Cairney prefers to play out wide. Who'd have thunk it?

Probably Brum's last throw of the dice Tuesday, they won't fancy getting owt from 'in form' Bolton at the Reebok next week.
LDRover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 and Evans... Who'd of thunk it? Yeah. Lowe's back when fit though, regardless of how well we fare without him.
Kie_BRFC Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 So basically it doesn't matter about reading anymore because we can't catch them (realistically), instead we need Wigan to lose, Brighton to lose and us to win?

Evans has been injured and apparently Cairney prefers to play out wide. Who'd have thunk it? It's about where players perform best and a functioning system. We need kings pace in the team and Cairneys distribution central to feed him.
blueboy3333 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Another superb away win. 19 goals in last 6 away games. Unbeaten in 11 games. 4 wins out of last 6. Team getting better and better. Bowyer out!
somersetrover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 It's about where players perform best and a functioning system. We need kings pace in the team and Cairneys distribution central to feed him. We are with out doubt a much better team with King's pace in the side.

Kings only just come back from injury too. King was even better last week and Cairney wasn't in the middle.
Amo Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 and Evans... Who'd of thunk it? Thing is, it wouldn't shock me any if Willowe was restored at the first available opportunity and Cairney relegated out wide again. We seem to play our most expansive football when Bowyer's hand is forced by injuries.
Leonard Venkhater Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 The American singer who sounds like Gary Bowyer. !
somersetrover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 As far as I can see that's the simplest way of putting it. I hope to God Brum sack Clark between now and Tuesday. I would. I can't see the players having unity while nobody seems to have confidence in their manager so it'd be worth a punt to get shut of him for the last two matches and hope for a super short honeymoon period with a caretaker boss. I got some new glasses today so I have a vision. Who would sack Clark though as of the field Brum are in disarray, with the owner in prison. If it wasn't for the turmoil of the field I expect that Clark would have already been sacked.
aletheia Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Am I missing something? Wigan P44 GD13 P70 Brighton P45 GD14 P69 Blackburn P45 GD06 P67 We have 6 goals to make up if Wigan don't win anything. That means 3 games have to go our way AND by 2 goals. However, if that did happen, we have scored more goals.
