somersetrover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Let's hope this is the beginning on the Cairney and Evans central midfield partnership. This is arguably our best midfield, perhaps you could argue Marshall when fit ahead of King but King is a very dangerous winger at this level.

somersetrover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lowe injured? Yes he picked up an injury late on in the game on Monday, but carried on until the end.
Kie_BRFC Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Surprised to see Williamson is back but left on the bench, great to see this midfield, hopefully they will prove how good they are together and we can build on it next week and next season
Stuart Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 ROVERS: Robinson; Keane, Hanley ©, Kilgallon, Olsson; King, Cairney, Evans, Conway; Gestede, Rhodes. With the exception of Olsson... That's a team a lot of Rovers fans have been waiting to see. Looking forward to seeing how this works. Agreed Neal. I'm hoping he does play them together and not some odd formation. It'll be very interesting. Hope Evans plays like he apparently did against Brum and not how he did against Yeovil. There can be only one instruction today: win.
OJRovers Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Big test for this midfield which we've all (including bowyer I'm sure) wanted all season. Hope it clicks.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Well we can't complain about the line up. That's a pretty attacking formation. Let's hope we can get the ball.
Fife Rover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Well just for once our "friends" in claret 'n blue" have done us a favour and beaten Ipswich, so now it really is down to us to help ourselves. The door is still open!!
Mattie456 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great line up today. Shame the bench is so weak though. Let's hope we only need subs to close the game out rather than turn it around.
Neal Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Agreed Neal. I'm hoping he does play them together and not some odd formation. It'll be very interesting. Hope Evans plays like he apparently did against Brum and not how he did against Yeovil. There can be only one instruction today: win. Correct. I don't want to appear to be making excuses for them already if it doesn't work out but the reason I've wanted those 2 in the middle all season is for their ability to keep the ball to allow us to play more possession football... I'm not sure this pitch will allow that to be honest.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 What's with the French scarves? Nice to see Spurr and Jake Kean in the away end today.
Husky Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great line up today. Shame the bench is so weak though. Let's hope we only need subs to close the game out rather than turn it around. That's a joke, right?
perthblue02 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 What's with the French scarves? Mrs D promised to bring European football to Rovers within 5 years
Backroom Tom Posted April 26, 2014 Backroom Posted April 26, 2014 Doesn't matter what they do though if we do our job does it?
somersetrover Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Doesn't matter what they do though if we do our job does it? No Watford can only get above us if we drop points but then if we do drop points we won't finish top 6 anyway. The only teams we need to worry about are the 3 above us Brighton, Reading and Forest.
cn174 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Sounds like we should've had a penalty as the keeper has nearly knocked Rhodes out.
Backroom Tom Posted April 26, 2014 Backroom Posted April 26, 2014 From (ableit biased) twitter comments it sounds like we should have had a penalty
JBiz Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 How many "stonewall" penalty decisions have we not been given this season?
