USABlue Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Uwe Rosler has stated that he'll give a run out to some of his fringe players according to SSN so hopefully that could give us a chance to do our bit in the unlikely sequence of results. I'm really looking forward to this as we have no other option than to go for the jugular, I'd hate to think that we coasted it, won say 2-0 and then missed out by a couple of goals as results in the other games went our way. I'm hoping for a few goals to finish the season with. 4-1 Rudy(2), Rhodes, Hanley. Let's finish on a roll and hit the ground running in August! Alternatively those fringe players could do well.as they try to catch their managers eye.
Jimmy612 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Driving up tonight and looking forward to tomorrow! We were generally very good against a poor Charlton side last week and of course this will be a much tougher test. Realistically it's all over but if we do by chance go 2-0 up and the Dingles go two up as well, my God will there be an atmosphere. Lucky underpants - check Scarf - check Play-offs ............ Do us a favour Dingles
Hullrover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Does anybody which city centre pubs will be open? Any before 11? Determines our train times. Usually visit either Adelphi or Postal Order.

Postal Order (Wetherspoons). Short walk from the train station through the cathedral gardens. I've just realised; for all I know it could have shut down now. Not been that side of the town centre for about 3 years. Anyway, I assume it's still going.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Does anybody which city centre pubs will be open? Any before 11? Determines our train times. Usually visit either Adelphi or Postal Order. Adelphi has shut down. You're probably best either staying in town or heading to The Brown Cow/White Bull/ Moorgate area on Livesey Branch Rd.
Hullrover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Adelphi shut down? It has been open all season and was open for Yeovil game. Not used to having a drink in town so early. Will anywhere be open before 11?
West Yorks Rover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 We actually only need to make up 7 goals to equal Readings GD and we'll go above them on goals scored, oh and hope Brighton lose. No problem then !
Neil Weaver Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Round these parts (nowhere near Bburn admittedly) the Wetherspoons open for breakfast. So in Blackburn with its continental culture ( ) course it'll be open early. Just looked at http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-postal-order and you should be fine.

Will anywhere be open before 11? Sorry misread your post, I meant The Aqueduct near the ground has shut down. The Postal Order on Darwen St. opens at some insane time about 8am for breakfast etc. The Last Orders further down also opens early about 9am or 10 I think. Everywhere else is likely to be 11.30 or 12.

West Yorks Rover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 City? I'm sure the Rao's will have had a word with the Queen Abs.
blueboy3333 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I'm sure the Rao's will have had a word with the Queen Abs. Queen Abs? Is there something you're not telling us WYR?!
Backroom Tom Posted May 2, 2014 Backroom Posted May 2, 2014 I actually expect this to be one of the easiest games of the season Wigans only worry will be staying injury free and will shirk challenges and generally just go through the motions A 4-0 isn't out of the question if we approach it right but the other part of the equation with Brighton and reading losing is another matter
Hullrover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Thanks for pub responses. Looks like Postal Order for about 10:30 for food and/or drink.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Thanks for pub responses. Looks like Postal Order for about 10:30 for food and/or drink. Get an earlier train, I trap up at court on Northgate (solicitor, not defendant btw), Blackburn Times, everyone is @#/? outside by 9.30, have been tempted!

Train is already 7:40am. But this sounds good. However, 10yo in tow which Adelphi and Postal Order don't mind, but Blackburn Times website has no kids symbol. Anyone taken kids in there. Could attach stick on beard.
donnermeat Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 The town centre pubs are pretty grim, not been in Adelphi since it got done up though.
roversfan99 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Robinson Lowe Keane Hanley Kilgallon King Evans Cairney Conway Gestede Rhodes Subs: Kean, Marshall, Dunn, Taylor, Williamson, Rittenburg, Olsson
Husky Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Not sure I'll be able to stomach this one. Have a feeling GB is more interested in having an unbeaten run to take into an Indian Summer and will hence play not to get beat which will be *frustrating. I think the early kick off might just tip the balance - goodbye 2013-14, hello 2014-15. *Understatement of the season.
Andy Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I think we will win 2-0 or 3-0 against a reserve Wigan side. But I also expect either Reading or Brighton to get the points they need.
bazza Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Dingles will do their job. It'll be the Nottinghamshire club that lets us down.
Bucksrover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Dingles will do their job. It'll be the Nottinghamshire club that lets us down. Sounds like forest are struggling - 1 fit centre back apparently
West Yorks Rover Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Sounds like forest are struggling - 1 fit centre back apparently We could do with a Brighton sending off, and a Reading one and a Wigan one for that matter, preferably all after giving away penalties.
