otto man Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 We need to push up now. We're defending too deep and inviting pressure. Cairney booked. Went in studs up on Balotelli. Twonk!
USABlue Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Come in lads not one of our infamous late give aways
AllRoverAsia Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Well done Rovers! Big night to come at Ewood. TV again!! COYB
USABlue Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Hats off to everyone. BOWYER. The players and the fans. Well proud to be a Rover.
Backroom Tom Posted March 8, 2015 Backroom Posted March 8, 2015 Fantastic result, another wedge in the bank and we'll do them at Ewood Well done GB, the boys and the travelling hoards
otto man Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Fantastic performance and result. Had we played like this all season we'd be playing in the Prem next year.
Doaksie Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Pride in the shirt. That's all I ever ask. Rovers till I die
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Well done Rovers..can't fault that effort!
Waggy76 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Wonderful wonderful performance , proud to be a Rover again !
Backroom DE. Posted March 8, 2015 Backroom Posted March 8, 2015 Gutsy performance, great result. Liverpool were poor, Balotelli made them worse when he came on. We had a good first half and a fantastic start to the second, but were pinned back for the last 35 minutes, our boot it up to Rudy tactic stopped working and we didn't really have anything else. Fortunately Liverpool were pedestrian and made it quite easy for us to hold them off. We can definitely beat them at Ewood. Why can't we show the same endeavour and desire in league games?
SamTheShrew Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Incredibly proud of the team today. Kudos to bowyer for the set up. Only he can explain why we have been unable to play like that all season Season goes on for another game!
perthblue02 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Fantastic result, back four man (men) of the match today
tonyoz Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Brilliant! That's the best I've seen them play in many a long while. Gestede was dominating the Livrepool defence in the first half but less effective in the second. Seems like we've found a back 4 that works........Baptiste was very impressive. Well done Bowyer, that was a good tactical performance.
rovers11 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Play our two best centre halves and you get that. Why oh why have we persisted with Hanley this season. What a performance! Incredible!
chor808 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Superb Rovers. Why not every week! Motivation? What a game and my 80s perspex shirt still fits...can't wait for the return.
Gav Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Very very proud after that display. Baptiste was tremendous, they all played extremely well and Bowyer set the side up extremely well, he out thought Rodgers today. Very proud today and I've not said that for years.
perthblue02 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Play our two best centre halves and you get that. Why oh why have we persisted with Hanley this season. What a performance! Incredible! Also makes a difference having a cool older head as captain
West Yorks Rover Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Fantastic result, back four man (men) of the match today No pictures for me, but listened to an excellent commentary on Talksport (not the usual crew) they said the CB's were magnificent. Well done to GB and all the lads, fans sounded in great voice too.
Mr. E Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Brilliant effort, I am taken aback by how well did everything that needed to be done. To the point stopped the most in-form team in England. Yeah Toure hit the post, but Baptiste was so close to heading it in as well. 100% concentration from start to finish defensively, exactly what was required. Rudy was also great in the first half, but couldn't get a hold of much of anything in the 2nd. Even more impressive thing about this performance is that we used almost a very, very different strategy than what we normally play, it required great discipline and it payed off. So yes, hats off to Bowyer for getting it right here. Everything left to play for here.
SamTheShrew Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Cbs were great, proper old school defending. Hanley deserves to be nowhere near the starting 11.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Quality that. well done rovers. Lets pack out the replay
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Will be nice to see the sold out signs up at Ewood again..seems a long time!
tonyoz Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 There was one spell of passing late on that had me rubbing my eyes in disbelief. At times we made a very much in form Liverpool team look second best. I think everyone played to their best. Who do you think was Man of the Match?
