Until they get fed a line from their influences and then they'll print whatever they are told. Only a few weeks ago when Bowyer was feeling the heat there was several articles popped up out of nowhere banging his drum. Then we the fans actually got some good press out of the blue after the Liverpool game. It will soon turn the other way again.

Those articles were in conjunction with our FA Cup tie, didn't have anything to do with Bowyer being under pressure. The media don't give a toss about us now we're in the Championship.

So you don't think Myers or someone could call a favour in now and again ? All the fat controller needs to do is push the screen on his mobile and there'd be an article somewhere if they felt the need.

There's nothing to suggest Anderson has anything to do with the club any more.

As for Myers, he's too busy reviewing things to actually work. Although he's got health problems at the moment so even the reviews are on hold.

No money to be made out of this club anymore, tomphil.

There's still a carcass to pick clean though and I'm pretty certain he still has a connection to a few players (and others) on our books even if it isn't an obvious one at first glance.

I think he'd be interested in bigger sums than what our club can offer these days.

Anyway, other than the FA Cup articles, when have we been in the news in the last couple of years? Can't think of anything since Shebby departed...

Anderson/his company have been involved in the last 12 months, thats what I've been told anyway.

SEM are all over the sport GAV, so that wouldn't be a surprise. I just don't think Anderson can make enough money out of us any more to bother with manipulating the media on the manager's behalf.

If we ever got promoted again under Venky's (ha), then I'd be worried.

Sticking with a rubbish manager manager that has done a decent job without being able to take us to the next level in terms of consistency in the top 6 because they're likely to employ another rubbish manager is barmier!

"Well, we've got a sinking ship that avoided the last iceberg but has since stalled under this captain, no use trying to save it though... Where's the string quartet?"

Anyone reading your post would assume we're already in the bottom three and slipping out of the Championship, Mustard.

My version is a little closer to the truth. Unfortunately the guests aboard the ship have been used to a luxury cruiseliner and have been downgraded to a fishing boat.

Just had another shout out on the Replay thread, I'm more popular on brfcc(s) than in real life.

I didn't stop reading the forum, I've just been so demoralised with our rapid decline, I just haven't felt motivated enough to 'debate' with some of my old sparring partners.

Let's be frank, from the day they darkened our doors (or at least from the day they sacked Allardyce), it has been unrelentlessly @#/?. To go four and a half seasons without what I would describe as a 'manager' is an absolute nonsense, as is the fact we have no functioning board. A professional football club should exist to achieve the very best it can, so what the bloody hell is going on at Ewood Park?

As a relegated side, the best chance to get out of the Championship is in the first few years, when the infratstructure of the club is still in decent shape- look at Sheff Wed, Forest, Leeds and so on, a decade plus out of the top flight and they are no nearer. So for us to waste these precious years on the likes of Steve Kean, Michael Appleton and yes Gary Bowyer is gross negligence.

This season has been a massive worry, to be played off the park week after week, often by clubs with a fraction of our wage bill does not bode well. Bowyer has been saved by the fact he (or his scouts) have an eye for a player, as individual bits of quality ensure we bob along in mid table instead of the bottom 6. The general style of play is an abominaton, as is Bowyer's in game management, a poor mans Tony Parkes, whichever way you look at it and he should not be the manager of Blackburn Rovers.

But hey, 'we are where we are', 'remember when Bobby Saxton was fishing balls out of the river at Pleasy? Back to our true level etc etc'

With the likes of Swansea thriving in the PL, none of this needed to be and we would still be there ourselves if JW, Sam Allardyce and the rest had stayed in situ, it's an absolute travesty and yeah you could say I'm pretty bitter about it.

Nobody said the football was great.....

I'm not sure what's happened to you den, you used to be one of the better posters, now you seem more intent in petty point scoring like the rest of them, shame really

We disagree, move on.

😃😛 Gavs usual put down when he runs out of arguments.

You've said that to me a couple of times before Gav, - so it must be one heck of a long time since I was any good

Fair enough. Perhaps I was being a little dramatic, however I believe we are going only one way under Bowyer. I am not sure we will have the luxury of languishing in mid-table under his stead next season.

It's simple this, I've not run out of arguments at all, my opinions my opinion and no amount of barracking from you or anyone else will change that.

It's a kind of sport this, where it's more important to change people's views than respect what they have to say and you're better than that.

Anyway I'm still very fond of you as you know, this despite what PB tells me about you!!

Which wouldn't be so bad if the fishing boat was well crewed and sailed in interesting waters.

Like many others, (or "the rest of them" as the superior amongst us say), I'm fearful for the future under the current manager and that's even more of an issue than the dross served up at Ewood Park this season.

We are ranked number 11 in the all time listings for English football clubs, does that not suggest we should be at least number 11 in the PL as our true level ?

I think he was having a dig at people like Parson and Chaddy with that bit. Tongue in cheek is how I read it.
