What a right bunch of pillocks you lot are. These are players wearing our kit, representing our club in a cup final. It's no more 'Mickey Mouse' to them than a League Cup final for us would be now.

Some 'fans' we have. @#/? pathetic. Any excuse to kick the club and it's players for no reason.

If you found Scarlett Johansson sprawled naked on your bed, gagging for it, you'd complain she broke in.

Missed the point.

The kids, sensibly, being kept for Monday night's Cup Final and will no doubt be required again on Tuesday. Mahoney and Thomson with the squad today as well as O'Sullivan and Lenihan. Their time will come of that I have no doubt.

The mark of any youth set up is the number who get through and play regular first team football, this is how you judge a youth team. Winning a youth team cup is fine and great, but incidental in the grand scheme of things. Besides which there where players on the bench ineligible for the cup game who werent brought on, and also 10-15 minutes in the game today would hardly have written them out of being capable of playing monday.

If you had asked those kids which game they would have prioritised, i honestly doubt any would have picked a youth team game above a senior debut.

This is new. so Bowyers not playing the youth because there's money to be made for him and his dad by signing older players?

What a poisnous MB this has become.

And what about resting them for youth cup games, is that ok?

Employees of Rovers have cried wolf and @#/? us over so many times in the recent past, it's easy to jump to most sinister conclusion. It's most likely innocent, but speculating on an internet messageboard is hardly a crime and not worth getting all het up about.

who's getting het up? If there's evidence Bowyer and his dad are on the make lets hear it.

And what about resting them for youth cup games, is that ok?

Resting players that have yet to play for the 1st team? bizarre logic.

You know, I could tolerate the smugness a lot better if the future was bright for rovers.

As it is, it's misplaced and arrogant

smugness? from whom?

His dad and the agents. No brass in promoting youth..............

where the evidence of this?

very dangerous accusation to make

it is now becoming pathetic now with all these accusations being made against Bowyer and his staff just because some fans want him sack.

If you took the line about Ian Bowyer in context with the rest of the post, (u21s being 'be all and end all), you'd see it as an exasperated jibe, more than a direct accusation.

Bowyer's already gone on record to say Ian has been a great help and served us well, so far.

Save for the cup run,Not much has gone as planned since December 2014.

So, what positives for the future can you see with GB.

Not pie in the sky transfers, real hope based on his abilities.

I asked the same of other GB loyalists, last night.

They've ignored and deflected, ironically.

There's only negative chicken football to look forward to . Everyone got drawn in last year ( I didn't ) over the "unbeaten" end . It papered over the Yeovil and other cracks . I said at the start of the season I expected us nowhere near promotion and we are not . Last season I think we were 23 points off the Promotion places and 1 point off the farcical play offs. I ain't looked yet but I think it will be worse . The gazzateers proclaim he's doing well but alls I see is a worse team than last year , worse football and more support of the v's .

Next season my forecast is we will be where Wigan are now . That's not negative , that's not bullying , that's not head in the sand . It's what I foresee .

If anyone thinks different please tell me how or why Bowyer will play attractive attacking football . Any team that is brave in this league wins it. Not torrid , slow , mind numbing @#/? scared footy .

'Loyalists'? This isn't a war.

are you really asking people to predict the future? We don't even know who will be at the club next season. If Gestede and Rhodes are sold we might avoid another embargo and sign the next 'Gestede' on a free. Who knows? What we do know is that so far we've avoided relegation (unlike Wigan, Wolves, Blackpool), finished 8th in Bowyers 1st full season (2 points off the play-offs) and near the end of this season we're 9th (a lot further off the play-offs but then the team in 6th this season will have 10 pointsd more than the team in 6th normally does). He's rebuilt the team and the football is sometimes good, sometimes dross. So based on the evidence so far things could be a lot worse but we've not troubled the play-offs.

How do you think the future will pan out?

No, he's asking what you've seen from Gary Bowyer that makes you think we can progress beyond our current position. "He hasn't relegated us yet" isn't much of an argument, particularly as our squad will likely be significantly weaker next season.

As for getting the next Gestede... well, recent freebie history suggests we're more likely to get another Varney or Browny.

I they were confused when the sale of certain players was going into their bulging pockets... Please no one don't say they haven't got back what they invested in BRFC as all the propping the club up with is debts and more debts..

Excuse me you said that not me you goon. I meant from the agents point of view and we know the influence they have in the game and have had particularly at Rovers. What a TWISTED place this is for some.......

Last season the league was ran away with by two sides currently bottom and next to bottom of the prem This time there's 8 sides in the mix so take everything into consideration even if we keep the same squad with GB in charge next season we'd probably end up below half way highly likely we'll have a lot weaker squad and could be fighting to stay in the Championship with the likes of Huddersfield Rotherham etc.. Can see next season being harder there probably won't be 3 cast adrift like this season, there'll be those that miss out on promotion play offs, a strong bristol city, the 3 which come down with the biggest ever parachute resources of any relegated side so far.. It will be a tougher season next year..
