Backroom DE. Posted April 15, 2015 Author Backroom Posted April 15, 2015 It was more a question of why there doesn't seem to be any appetite to try to get Venkys to see sense and change their business model? After the Kean-era, I think the majority of fans realised Venky's have absolutely no interest in anything they say. We can make the effort but it won't make a difference - they will run the club how they and their advisors see fit, and us peasants should be honoured to have our club bear the Venky name. Remember, even after all the fan protests, Kean wasn't sacked... he resigned!

Remember, even after all the fan protests, Kean wasn't sacked... he resigned! This is it at the end of the day. When people did kick off they just ignored it and they've ignored everything since, not least the Berg farce with Shaw dragging the club through the gutter yet again. As said Kean engineered his own exit. After the crap he'd brought upon himself and seen it through no way would Singh's meddling have removed him had he not wanted to go or spotted the opportunity to finally get his hands on a lump sum. They'd have been happy to sit there and watch Kean drag the club to hell in a handcart in front of a deserted stadium in the glare of the eyes of the world. They live in cuckoo land and they do not give a feck !

This is why, for all the talk of fans not doing enough or not invading the pitch is all tosh, as the only thing Venky's have shown with any consistency is that they don't care about the fans! No matter what we do, they'll just do as they please regardless.
tomphil Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Look at the Blackpool fans descending on Waddington looking for Oystons house to protest outside. Fair play to them although the behaviour of some doesn't sound too great. Can you imagine if that had been Rovers fans looking for Kean or Anderson ? There'd have been a worldwide outcry, we'd have been derided in the Whitehouse and the Kremlin. The news would somehow have evaded Pune though !

Remember, even after all the fan protests, Kean wasn't sacked... he resigned! I have a recollection that they did acknowledge the fans and promised action towards the end of ****s time. Not sure if a gate was down or something like that, but they made a statement because the bottom line figure had been impacted so much. These people are interested in money and popularity, if they see gates going down they’ll sit up and take notice. That’s probably the reason why gates are being given out as 13k when we all know we’re getting less than 10k. Sadly the majority of fans aren’t interested in protesting, rocking the boat, its just not worth it to them. You have to ask the question, what will get these fans to act? The clubs been destroyed, all Jack Walkers hard work thrown away, businesses folded, people have lost jobs and still they sit on their hands and do nothing. I despairs at times, I really do….
tomphil Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Interesting to see the Brighton messageboard saying they reckon about 12k are actually attending games there. Same with Cardiff. Obviously a hell of a lot of ST's are fed up so have given up but I just wonder if this phantom ST thing is a new gimmick for accountancy or laundering or something like that. Everyone seems to be at it.

I honestly don't remember Gav, they came out with so much utter @#/? during the first couple of years that it's all meshed into one long string of nonsense in my mind. All I know is, despite everything, they didn't have the sense (or power?) to remove Kean when it was obvious the bloke was absolute poison in every respect. If they couldn't/wouldn't listen to the fans then, I don't know why they would now.
mustard Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Turf's never full. I'm sure you and the other Burnley lovers can still get tickets easily enough. Haha brilliant. A "Burnley lover" for recognising Dyche is a better manager than Bowyer... If you can't see this yourself then you're certainly not half as intelligent as you like to think. I'd wager this is the case anyway.

They don't listen though, and they certainly don't care what we think. They don't act, they don't do anything. The executive board at the club do anything at the risk of rocking the boat either Even when the FF went over there and Ewood Spark was meant to give it some, he bottled it, then comes on here telling Glen Mullan he's got blood on his hands for protesting, which was quite funny at just how hypocritical it was. What action could we have taken? Nobody's any different from each other. The targets never attend the games, they're chilling in their Ivory Towers in Pune counting their gold, throwing lavish parties, driving daft cars, being horrible nouveau riche cnuts that don't care about us peasants.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 15, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 15, 2015 NOT TO MENTION US BLOODY TREMBLERS God knows about all these supporter classifications, we're all fans of the same club.
Backroom Tom Posted April 15, 2015 Backroom Posted April 15, 2015 God knows about all these supporter classifications, we're all fans of the same club. Doesn't seem so at times It's a battleground on here at the moment
mustard Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 God knows about all these supporter classifications, we're all fans of the same club. Apparently if you don't think Bowyer is up to it you're a Burnley loving, hate-campaigning fake fan spoilt by Uncle Jack.
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Pretty daft comment as Birmingham have improved and the outcome of any match is uncertain from week to week, never mind from one season to another. Overall though, we have gone backwards from last season in terms of league position but the league is also much stronger than last season. I agree

Not quite sure that's true.....But then one of the things that always happens on here is people reading what they want rather than what is actually written. Doesn't seem so at times It's a battleground on here at the moment Every thread goes the same way.
Backroom DE. Posted April 15, 2015 Author Backroom Posted April 15, 2015 Every thread goes the same way. A severe lack of moderation IMV. Far too many posters allowed to get away with winding others up, time and time again. It's the same handful of people every time. I was under the impression strong moderation was supposed to be coming back - what happened there?

A good starting point would be a pitch invasion halting a game that makes the national news. If you had a few hundred willing to participate they'll not be able to ban or fine you. Flag in the centre circle Souness style with Venkys out, both actions would make national news channels and go from there. They need to be aware that the fans are not happy and 100 people stood outside Ewood being nicey nicey isn't going to do it. Now I fully expect to be told its not worth losing your job, fines, yada yada yada, and you prove my point in that it easy to make excuses and do nothing.

Don't you remember how much we got fitted up for chanting 'Kean Out?' What makes you think taking far more direct action would result in any more favour from the national media?? Anderson and his cronies would have us fitted up yet again and we'd be 'Little old Blackburn not getting behind the manager and the team'. As football fans around the country exhibit goldfish and selective memory syndrome.

Burning effigies of Madame Bitch, the fat pig and numb nut might make it onto the news as well. Or hang them from a noose. or hang them from a noose AND burn them.

We got fitted up like a kipper before, and it will happen again, mark my words!!
broadsword Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 You could well be right, but don't look to me for sensible suggestions. Look to me for anarchy, rebellion, chaos and tea cakes. I'm just fed up to the back teeth and letting off steam. These people have totally worn me out.
Parsonblue Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Doesn't seem so at times It's a battleground on here at the moment Agreed Tom and at the end of the day nobody is going to change anyone's mind no matter how much we all slag one another off and no matter what names are given to fans with different viewpoints. A severe lack of moderation IMV. Far too many posters allowed to get away with winding others up, time and time again. It's the same handful of people every time. I was under the impression strong moderation was supposed to be coming back - what happened there? In fairness, it seems to me that Tom has been left holding the baby and is trying to virtually moderate it on his own - I may be wrong but that's the impression I get. I'm sure Tom has a life away from this messageboard that he would rather get on with rather than trying to sort out playground squabbles everyday.

No one wants to hear any of that around these parts.
