BlooBoy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Parsons / rev how long are you prepared to let them rack up the millions of debt for our club ? And how exactly are they racking up debt now ? Yes, big big mistakes made ,relegation which could have happened to any one of eight teams (like every season) but as for racking up debt now ..how? FFP doesnt allow them to chuck money at the club...yet all bills, wages (as we know ) seem to be being paid. Silly statement really ..
Kie_BRFC Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 And how exactly are they racking up debt now ? FFP doesnt allow them to chuck money at the club...yet all bills, wages (as we know ) seem to be being paid. Silly statement really .. Probably because we are losing £2m a month and are under a transfer embargo - due to be in debt. If Venkys weren't still racking up debt then we wouldn't be under an embargo. Not enough income and too much spending = debt...

Yes your statement was rather silly.
Kie_BRFC Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Yep ..from PAST mistakes ..not from NOW But it's irrelevant when the mistakes were, we are NOW paying the price for it massively. So in your opinion Venkys have now learnt from their mistakes and are good owners? The way I see it is that we are still losing money hand over fist, whilst they sit back in India not giving one
BlooBoy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Bills/wages get paid by the state bank of india. Yes your statement was rather silly. but being paid ...
davulsukur Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 but being paid ... But not by Venkys, which increases the debt...
BlooBoy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 But not by Venkys, which increases the debt... And welcome to the 21st century of business...
BlooBoy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 You asked how they were increasing the debt. maybe they should just walk away then ..lets see what happens then....
davulsukur Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Ok? I'm not sure where you are going with this. You asked a question (how are they still increasing the debt) and I answered it. That's all.
ABBEY Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Yep ..from PAST mistakes ..not from NOW So we are making money then? Please tell me how we are doing this ...and meanwhile I will go and feed popcorn to my pet unicorn .I think Sam dingle may be back
Stuart Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Ultimately, I don't think there was a right tactic. When multi-national companies get involved in football it's very difficult to have an impact on them locally. The Glazer's take little or no notice of the fans at Old Trafford, even when some set up their own club. Mike Ashley runs Newcastle how he wants irrespective of supporters. Does the guy at Leeds consider the fans? Many owners in football today seem to have different agendas from their supporters and pay little heed to what they may or may not want. At the moment, I agree with Rev, in that until something better comes along I really don't see an alternative to the present owners. It's easy to say that if we stick with Venkys the club will eventually fold, but nobody has said what the alternative is if they walk away tomorrow other than the belief that someone will come along and save us. And if they don't?That's very simplistic. The problem at the time was not how they wanted to run the club but how they were allegedly being told to run their club - against better advice from the incumbent board. The protests - eventually - put started a sequence of actions which paid to that. So I'll ask again: if not protests, what was the right tactic to rid the club of Kean and his cronies? (And remember this is AFTER the less sycophantic FF members looked Balaji in the eye and told him what needed to be done).
BlooBoy Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 So we are making money then? Please tell me how we are doing this ...and meanwhile I will go and feed popcorn to my pet unicorn . I think Sam dingle may be back The mistakes were made in their early tenure. Now they are saddled, without promotion things do look bleak. No escaping that. No one said we were making money, but to rectify it now, they re hands are tied ie by chucking money at it etc etc .
ABBEY Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Ffs They ey aren't making money then ? I will ask slowly .. If we are not making money then are we not losing money ? If we are losing money then we are adding to the debt .

ABBEY Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Christ it's like talking to my dog ... Are we losing money NOW or making money NOW ?
glen9mullan Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 That's very simplistic. (And remember this is AFTER the less sycophantic FF members looked Balaji in the eye and told him what needed to be done). Good post , I'm absolutely certain , had the supporters not protested , got our clubs plight world wide news , I.e every newspaper from UK , Asia , USA , Every TV channel including BBC World Then Rovers would now: 1. Be league 1 2. still be managed by Kean 3. Still run and owned by Crescendo , ( meaning our players would not be owned by Rovers , but we would he tied up into Leasing these players ) of which none would of been heard of prior to rovers appearances and many of which would be from South America and other areas of the World 4. Our boardroom would be similar to now , apart from Agnew would still be in there , after all you need a boardroom in place to answer any awkward questions from the authorities . 5. The FIFA saga would have everyone scarpering for the windows or drains 6. Supporters would be blaming one another and the Walkers Trust , whilst a small band would be claiming how lucky we are that the Venkys are here to keep us financially afloat . 7. Certain projects within the area which the council have had payments in the millions off Venkys would probably not be happening 8. Venkys would still be hiding in India with a band of our blindfolded supporters stating they have been naive and conned by others (strange they have multi million pound empire and are widely recognised as shrewd business people , anyone who thinks they got hoodwinked , really does need to get out more ). 9. Crowds will continue to dwindle , but another section of support would state,( armed with our clubs history under their arms) that we are where we should be , and we are spoilt by the Jack Walker days and should remember we had zero heritage , credentials or History before then .

No one said we were making money, but to rectify it now, they re hands are tied ie by chucking money at it etc etc . Not sure where you are going with this. Our expenditure exceeds our turnover. We are thus losing money and racking up more and more debt each and every month. Of course FFP has Venky's hands tied but there's no guarantee they'd pay off the debt even if FFP allowed them too. This puts the future of BRFC in a very precarious position.
ada2020 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 yes ...but ..il say again ..from PAST mistakes .. Run along Balhaji there's a good fellow..

This puts the future of BRFC in a very precarious position. Finally ...spot on Mustard. As for expenditure over turnover ..alot of this was accrued by chucking money at players like Murphy..Dickson ..Best and the like ..which at the time i think the majority of fans thought at the time was the way forward to rectify the fck ups when we got relegated. We all wanted promotion and sometimes you ve to throw caution to the wind ,we did and it failed big time.Hence, past mistakes coming back to haunt us. Im not for one condoning whats happened at Rovers with the Venkys (with a lil more shrewdness maybe we wouldnt have been relegated in the first place ..but we d never know that) but just pointing out the wheels of debt were turning long ago and now we re saddled with it.
