Steve Moss Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 What, the former Home Secretary. is he any good at football. Seem to remember being a bit overweight, not to mention dead. So a good squad player for a reasonable wage?

martonrover Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Do we need another winger? No! Well be interested then Strictly speaking, no, but the squad desperately lacks pace.
Damien Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Met one of john walters relatives tonight, never realised he was on a free.Mentioned his misdemeanour in his earlier days and would he be interested in paying rovers back and signing for us.His answer surprised me. What was the answer?
matt83 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Jon Walters has to go down as one of the academy success stories. But when it is you are substituted and take it upon yourself to steal from your team mates while they are still playing (or at least that's the version I heard) then there can be no return even if for whatever reason he begged to come back. Even if he was Lionel Messi sometimes you have to be more principled than to let a guy back who is willing rob his colleagues. That said not may people of principle involved in football so it's probably a moot point.
Stefan Hedgehog Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I think things done when you are 17 can be forgiven, the club is in need of a massive boost and signing a premiership regular would give a statement of intent.Though very unlikely in my mind said relative told me he would be playing for a club not 30 miles from were we met.
chaddyrovers Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 The sun is reporting that Watford have agreed a 6m deal with Rovers for Gestede.
Rover_Shaun Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 And they are reporting "SWANSEA are keen on pinching Watford hotshot Odion Ighalo for around £8million." So £8m please Mr Watford
Kamy100 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Rudy's agent was talking to Rovers about Rudy moving on earlier this week so the Watford story could have some legs, I still think that Venky's will want more than £6 million.

Blue blood Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Thought this was pretty funny lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JT9xmE8exP0&feature=youtu.be Amazing. Very funny but sadly so true.
Rover_Shaun Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Bogdan to Liverpool. The dumbing down continues at anfield http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33107895
Gav Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Bogdan to Liverpool. The dumbing down continues at anfield http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33107895 Well Brendan has spent over 200m since he joined the club, I guess the Liverpool fans will be crying about the forgeign owners not backing the manager around Christmas time

Kamy you have said on numerous occasions that no one goes in or out until Venkys have had their meeting with Bowyer, has that changed or is said Bowyer and Shelf stacker doing their own thing.

Kamy100 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Kamy you have said on numerous occasions that no one goes in or out until Venkys have had their meeting with Bowyer, has that changed or is said Bowyer and Shelf stacker doing their own thing. The meeting has not happened yet, but I think this is more of Rudy's agent telling Shelfy and the rest of the board that if there is PL interest his client wants to move. The whole thing behind the scenes is a total farce.

Amo Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 What do you expect with Degsy and the illusive Myers running the gaf I think you mean 'elusive', although it's debatable if Myers is a real person.
yoda Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I think you mean 'elusive', although it's debatable if Myers is a real person. No, I most definitely meant illusive i.e. Illusive comes from illusion, an old, old word that originally meant "to mock, to make fun of, to trick." Magicians make great use of illusions, but while someone can be deliberately illusive, the word does not always imply that that someone means to mislead you. Some things, like truth, are illusive by nature; others, like the past, become hazy through time
