Jbizzle. I have an agenda. It's a consistent agenda I have had since he was given the full time job, and an agenda Bowyer has fulfilled 100% . My agenda is Bowyer is a poor manager and since becoming manager has shown he's an even poorer coach (going off the defence not improving one jot during his lacklustre tenure).

He may have scabbed it with a couple of signings but he consistently fails to have any idea whatsoever on how to build a cohesive 1st XI. What's the point in having a degree of luck in the transfer market if your woefully lacking the nous to use them?

Again, it's very difficult to discuss a team with you, mainly because you've never seen it play. Agenda would mean you have something to benefit from by perpetuating the same negative context. The only way you benefit is from a pride point of view of making an opinion and sticking to it.

Why does that matter?

Just so we are all aware, Bowyers quote is actually:

Alex going back is a loss, as he was a very good signing for us, but weve got Jason Lowe and Ben Marshall short term

With FFP only allowing us 24 players, i am assuming that he is looking at other positions first. Possibly a loan to come in later on for RB?

So once again, he's not actually said what many people are actually moaning about.

Plus we have Ryan Nyambe who can play Right Back. Plus I wouldnt be surprise if we sign Doneil Henry from West Ham on loan after the transfer window closes but loan window opens

Nyambe seems to be highly rated, we'll just have to hope they can convince him to sign-up, other clubs must have looked

at him.

Henry is said to be highly rated at West Ham, so I would imagine they would want him to be starting games, if he is out on loan,

who do you think GB will drop to accommodate him ? also WHU have a new management team in place now, so could be tricky

getting him back, although he did seem to enjoy himself up here, apart from his injury obviously.

Nyambe is one I thought might make the grade on the times I've seen the U21's. He's got the physique and applies himself well. Not sure he's ready to step up yet though, another one who probably needs a lower league loan spell.

Would like to see Henry back but he's had a bad injury for starters and he'd probably not get played in his natural position. I'm not into developing players for other clubs, ironic after my comments about Nyambe ! Henry looked like bambi on ice at times but he certainly added a bit of passion and all action style to the team which was entertaining to watch, could be a good un at this level that lad. Hows he recovering though that's the big question.

Before a ball is kicked and for the third season running no one including Bowyer has a clue what our starting back five( i say five because the GK position seems to be up in the air again with Eastwood getting the nod in cup games, and rotating Steele Eastwood and Raya at the end of the season) is going to be.

The rovers team is like a house of cards ,we pull one player out of his favoured position to be replaced by someone else pulled from their favoured position and on it goes til we ve half the side in positions unfamiliar to them.

Its got to the point where no one really knows just which players at the back are really any good ,because every permutation has been used .

The only consistent thing regarding the defence is that for the last three seasons we ve managed to concede give or take a goal ,60 goals....and still the problem hasnt been addressed and Bowyer already talking of shoehorning players from other positions into our so called defence.

Bowyer really hasnt done himself or the team any real favours ...

It's utterly bizarre though that he appears to view Baptiste not returning as posing a potential problem at RB, when I think everyone else would view Baptiste as having been poor to average at RB and excellent at CH in what once again most people would assume to be his proper position. It really does make you wonder what you were watching all season.

For him to say that we've adequate cover after losing someone who actually turned out to be a key player is way off the mark. Maybe it's impossible to get him back but he should be saying we'll look to plug that gap with someone similar on loan if possible. If he's telling us that then just what is he telling Pune ??

I have no reason to promote Forrester, but I'm just bemused as to the fact he doesn't get a mention, whilst everybody complains about Brown being our first choice striker if we lose Rudy & Rhodes. As for "nobody knows what he's like", he played several games for Everton U-21s as an 18 year old (they included a sell-on fee in the agreement when he signed for us). He's scored 6 goals in 10 games for our U-21s (including 2 on his comeback match this year). He was Bury's top scorer before his injury & was well-regarded there (still only 19 when he joined them on loan). As for him only being less than 75% of the player he was before, players now recover completely from cruciate injuries - I haven't noticed Theo Walcott for example, losing any of his pace. Also if he's not the player he was, why has he been offered a new contract.

Time will tell, but if fit, I think he could be a very handy player for us, & could save us from bringing in a similar striker which is never easy.

Julian ask yourself if he was ever any good would Everton have released him.

He did end up being a key player, but not in the position GB was talking about! Quite baffling really.

Make do and mend seems the motto at Rovers at present. Baptiste was probably our best centre half last season and the decision not to sign him does not augur well for the summer

Have to agree, maybe he wasn't signed originally primarily to play CB but that's the way it panned out. He should have been signed up leaving the other centre halves to compete to play alongside him. I'd have liked to have seen Baptiste and Hanley given the chance to forge a partnership.

I think you will find they have and they are.

Baptiste is still under contract at Bolton isn't he? therefore would command a fee , a fee we cannot pay so keeping him permanantly was never going to be a realistic option

That's probably another one gone then, I reckon allowing Jack O'Connell to leave will turn out to be a big mistake btw.

I wouldn't worry. Raya had 'gone' according to a few on here then signed a 5-year deal the next day.

There were rumours surrounding Raya but think you may find both jack and Rayas agents P... In the same pot

Well I'm at a loss to see how even the incredible Lowe can cover 2 positions at once! Equally Marshall is needed on the wing. With the loss of King, that only gives us Cairney and Conway as the other options, and the jury is very much out as to whether Cairney can play on the wing.

In fact assuming no additions, IF Marshall plays right back, that means Cairney on the right. So we'd have a weaker right with absolutely no protection from Cairney, who probably will have drifted inside, much less prevented doubling up on our right back.

Also Marshall's been our best attacking midfielder. Having him cover right back is madness - the midfield loses too much imo. Fine with Lowe there but Marshall really, really shouldn't happen. Granted there's a gulf in quality but no one would be advocating Ronaldo there just because he could do. Oh well, guess it helps keep everyone happy...

What about Baptiste being our best centre back? Given that leaves us with the liability that is Hanley and there are worries over the injury record of Kilgallon we could be a little short at centre back, let alone the problems of right back.

O'Sullivan is also an option on the wing. Maybe he'll be more involved next season.

It really doesn't matter if Baptiste was our best CB. He's a Bolton player and we can't pay a fee for him even if they wanted to sell.

Baptiste was far better in the centre, the worry should be cover there not right back.

Very concerning that Bowyer doesn't even seem to recognise that fact.

The worry should be both.

Instead we'll probably sign another winger.

Yes he has one year left at Bolton, he would be required to be released by them for us to get him. We then would have the problem of them needing to marry up any differences between his current contract and our £10k p/w embargo, essentially he would have to be paid off by Bolton for him to come this summer. Bolton loaning him to us would probably have been rubbished already if we can't pay his full wages.

He shares the same agent as Jack along with many more in the academy.

Everton didnt released him tho.

So go on then

I've realised that a new definition of madness must be rovers fans logging into their message board and hoping there'll be some news. Every time I see that someone has posted in the transfer topic I think something must have happened, even if it's an outgoing I don't want to hear. But no. Tumbleweed anyone?

See tunicliffe got a ban for that tweet about bamford

Yep. What did the tweet say? I know it was something about his sexuality or something
