It appeared that they knew each other as Tunnicliffe tagged Bamford in it and added some laughing face emojis (smiley faces).

Either way an OTT punishment by the FA for me...

Julian ask yourself if he was ever any good would Everton have released him.

Good players get released all the time.

Make do and mend seems the motto at Rovers at present. Baptiste was probably our best centre half last season and the decision not to sign him does not augur well for the summer.

I may be wrong, but wasn't Bolton under different management when we loaned Baptiste? It makes sense that Lennon would want to assess him properly before getting rid of him.

We signed him on a free transfer but he still had 6 months left on his deal at Everton.

Hopefully he can break through to the senior team this coming season if he re-sign here

Chaddy they were going to offload him.

Yet more poor excuses.

So if we sell all of our best players over the Summer we can afford to buy dross in January. What is the point of football?

Our respective failures in management (couldnt get us promoted) and board level (couldn't manipulate the finances nor mount a challenge to FFP) and owners (who are as clueless as they are silent) is going to see us in League One very soon. Whatever happened to the suggestion that we had bought forward future losses to help us get out of FFP sooner - starting to sound like more BS).

We are utterly clueless.

Do people still believe that this last two years has been time well spent? Or that we still have unlimited time to rebuild?

JAL, chaddy answered your points with evidence and reason. You'd be better served reasoning back or it just comes across as toys and pram.

If you read between the lines JAL made it quite clear it was an agent job..

Some posters on here seem to think the last 2 years have all been about stability.. Well if that's stable I wouldn't like us to be unstable

29 players brought in a large number moved out.. Stuck in Embargo up to our eyes in debts.. Stability is fantastic

What a mess. Nothing fair about it. It will kill off an already increasingly uncompetitive sport. Whats the point if your chances of moving up the pyramid are destroyed?

Joke. I suppose nobody at Ewood has the mettle to challenge the legality of it, then we can spend for a bit while the challenge is 'ongoing'.

We seem to be the only team in football that's embargoed. Barcelona are even making pre-emptive signings. Pathetic.

The FFP needs scrapping . IMHO the football leagues own rules are a joke and should be legally challenged and the FL seem now to be running scared of going to court

Being saying this for ages.

FFP suits the owners who dont to spend money

Not for me. Banter between mates is fine, but this was potential role-models using homophobic language.

Anything to help clean the game up is good imo.

I think these youngsters struggle to separate the private from the public. This looks like a normal bit of friendly abuse between mates but why oh why would you put it on twitter for the world to see. Obviously a 24 carot moron so deserves his punishment IMO.

Exactly, why have we just sat back and accepted it?

How can it be legally possible for rules to be made stopping business owners from investing their own money into their business with no strings attached, its just bonkers. If it was just to stop them from loaning money to the club which the club is unlikely to be able to pay back then that would be understandable(and even sensible)

I can take a good guess at it. The owners don't have any intention of spending and have been sold on this idea of producing a youth set up which provides first team players for a snip. I've said it before but my biggest problem with this is who is the brainchild for this project? If the guy at the top isn't up to the task then the whole project will fail. I'm not seeing young players coming through who excite me. If we're serious about attracting and producing top quality young players we need to expand our horizons from plucking the odd lad from other northern based clubs. Why are we not bringing over young talent from abroad? Is there some law preventing that? Could well be. But either way, I get the feeling the club has adopted this approach but are going about it half arsed.

Time and again we see it with so many numpties from all walks of life.. I trust his wages will be stopped whilst he is banned.

Professional footballers are expected to lead a disciplined lifestyle re: diet, drinking, drugs, dangerous sports, motor bikes etc. High time that facebook and twitter etc were included in the list of banned pastimes punishable by very large fines.

Corrected for you Mike. As far as I am concerned they can do and say what they want in private.

Maybe I need counselling because I like sausages too... in particular those made by Farnsworth's in Whalley.

This FFP article has got me thinking. Just as an aside and given there are over a billion people in India, and as far as I am aware the venkymob are the only Indian owners (unless Mittal is still very much in the distant background at Fulham) how come that in the past 4 or 5 years not even 1 Indian player has been discovered who is good enough to play at this level and never mind in the Prem? It must have been in the venkys best interests to find a few surely? Maybe finding half a dozen or so could have saved our bacon and got around FFP at the same time. Why is it that Indians don't seem able to play football to this standard?

It's just not in their DNA and you can't change hundreds of years DNA overnight. Most kids/youth out there will hang around the streets with a bat and small ball. The first really decent Indian/Pakistani origin footballers of any note will probably come from this country. It was always a load of bullsheet what the V's said they had planned for India in regards to football. Publicity seeking window dressing although employing coco & co to take us on a one way trip out of the Prem spotlight won't have helped.
