Same difference really. He's been on a PL salary the majority of his career (and probably even now).

This really is excellent news. This lad has the potential to be an outstanding goalkeeper and hopefully will be the Rovers number one for many years to come.

I'd like to see Bowyer throw in Sully and Mahoney on Saturday. Maybe Nyambe too, as he really impressed me when I watched him against Southampton U21's

Good news , but i'd still like to see him loaned out again perhaps for the 2nd part of next season at least, possibly to a league 2 or lower league1, 6 months in and around the first team squad followed by 6 months in league football hopefully will bring him on even further

very good news. I see Raya challenging for the number 1 jersey next season with Steele.

Jake Kean will leave Rovers during I would imagine. Robinson is out of contract this summer. Also can see Eastwood being loan out for some of the season

Would like Wilkinson at Rovers. can play Right back and Centre back aswell

we will need to get lucky to bring a good striker in due to the venkys incompetence.

Get it done and over next week for me.

I'm sure Bowyer and his scouts are scouting players to replace Gestede if he does leave.

PL teams wont be looking to sign anyone until July anyway but understand your comments on that and the reasons why Abbey

Glenn Whelan would be a no brainer if he could be enticed....sadly there's zero chance of that.

Would be the type of player we need, holding midfielder but cant see him coming tbh

I would look to keep Raya, Lenihan, Nyamba, Lavelle, Mansell, Mahoney and maybe Green

Think you will find that one of those names gets snapped up by a PL club pretty soon.

Said on here earlier in the week, expect the story to break in the papers before the week's out.

Great news on Raya wouldn't you say Mercerman? It's heartening to see our 'clown' of a manager is still able to get talented youngsters to sign 3 year contracts.

How are we paying for any of these signings Dunnfc? Even if we sell Gestede and Rhodes it still might not be enough.

This is the issue with the rather precarious situation we are in as a club. A great deal of the fans have no idea what the embargo means and how deep the doo-doo is that we are in financially. They just sit in the stands clapping away, chanting "Gary Bowyer's blue and white army" completely oblivious to the severity of our situation and how desperately we need to return to the PL.

Sometimes it takes an intelligent chap to educate those who are seemingly oblivious. I'm glad you're glad I'm here.

You're right, we can't spend any money. Hence why it's paramount we have a manager who can get the best out of this team with the resources available. Something Bowyer is certainly not doing.

Rhodes - Must Keep

Either we extend his contract (which we simply cannot afford) or if we don't we must cash in our chips on JR soon because he'll end up worthless to us and might even seek to stay injury free rather than score goals in his final season.
