irishrover1 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Watched Zak Gilsenan play for the U-16s vs Aston Villa on Saturday, i actually went to watch the 18s but thought id see what all the fuss is about. He started in the 10 role then due to a player getting injured moved to the left wing and finished on the right. Was told he is regularly training with the 18s now and got a run out vs Everton a few weeks back. Still only 15 so one to watch in the coming years. 1 Quote

irishrover1 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Looked to be the best player on the pitch by a long way. Technically very good, beats men in the middle of the pitch with ease and has an eye for a pass when defenders stand off him. 18s are playing man utd tomorrow so ill assume the 16s are too, might head down and take another look! 2 Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 U18's at home to Man Utd today and listed as live at 11 am on MUTV. Hoping to find it somewhere............. 1 Quote

United open scoring after 10 minutes. To be honest we have been outclassed so far and shown absolutely nothing. Quote
47er Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 0-2 after 20 minutes, bad error by keeper. We have played a bit better in last 10 minutes and had a couple of half chances but its a very unequal contest. Pitch is not the best. Quote
47er Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 3 minutes to half-time. We are still struggling. Durrant on the left has done some good things for us, our centre-back is enormous but slow. Utd should really be further ahead. Quote
perthblue02 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Coverage is better than ifollow , replays etc Quote
47er Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Half-time, no further score. Sorry have to leave it there! Quote

Fraserkirky Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Pilikokatis with a sensational piece of play in that video. If only Bennett had an ounce of that burst and creativity. Would imagine he will make a game in the full team when we are trying out the kids! Edited February 24, 2019 by Fraserkirky Quote

He doesn't seem to have fully broken into the u-23s yet from what I gather? So that seems unlikely. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted February 24, 2019 Backroom Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Who is our number 5 there? He’s a big lad, keeper looked to have a bit of a off day for both goals Edited February 24, 2019 by Tom Quote

I only watched the first half but, honestly, you wouldn't have known Pilikokakis was on the pitch. Nowhere near ready for anywhere but where he is. Quote

They need to nail down what position they think he's going to be a 'star' in and playing there until he gets some confidence. It's really quite sad that the first time we spend over a couple of million since Jordan Rhodes and he's ended up in essentially the reserves. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2019 Backroom Posted February 25, 2019 Brereton, Chapman and davenport all starting tonight Quote
Stuart Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 A few of our regulars miss out tonight. Chapman in for Mols I guess. 1-0 up already though! Quote
