Guest Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Rovers 21's have all but confirmed safety in PL2 Division 1 with that win today. Leicester would have to win all of their games and Rovers lose all of theirs for things to change now. Quote

bluebruce Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Remaining league fixtures are 4th placed Palace (twice - home and away!), 1st placed Man City (at home), and fellow relegation strugglers Tottenham (at home). Think we know which game looks most winnable and crucial! Spurs also have two games in hand on us, and are 3 points behind. Wolves 2 behind us with 1 game in hand. 1 Quote
Sweaty Gussets Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Premier League Table, Form Guide & Season Archives If 2 go down we are right in it still. Looks like Spurs play Wolves tomorrow and then Spurs play Man City on Friday, when we play Palace. Quote

A lot depends on which players are selected to pad out first team squads. Except for City. Quote
1874 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Spuds u21 1 Man City U21 2 I think the Rovers Spuds game may decide what division we are in next year 2 Quote
Snarley02 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Spurs play Wolves on Friday. Draw would probably suit us. Quote

arbitro Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Jordan Eastham sent off on the hour mark. Still 1-0 though. Quote
only2garners Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 And two further goals so Rovers lost 3-1. Quote

The forward was a good yard offside, but the linesman was a few yards behind the play and didn't give it. Then Eastham took the player out. Mitigation for the linesman is that the area he was running in was just mud. The other side has artificial grass put down Quote
rigger Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 We played quite well until going down to ten. In the end we were out-muscled by a physically larger side. Some of our football was a delight to watch, as was our goal. We played a short, fast passing game. They played long ball cutting out midfield. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 What’s the point in playing Mola at this stage? Surely some of our own lads should be starting. Quote

Mola is being played at center half to cover for the players that have been moved on or are with the first team squad. He is not good as a center-half, but he is reasonably strong in the air. Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I thought it was a Rovers development team? So why is a senior pro about to go back to his own club playing (out of position too)? Quote

That's actually Jay Spearings job at the moment for Liverpool 23s....especially this time of year when a lot of the 16/17s will be playing up due to the older lads leaving and looking for new clubs. Mattyblue Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 No problem with that, but a loanee that’s buggering off in a few weeks and is only 23 himself? 1 Quote
arbitro Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Rovers are at home to Forest tonight at Ewood in the semi-final of the PL Cup. It's free for season ticket holders too. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/11/preview--rovers-under-21s-v-nottingham-forest-under-21s/ 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Does anyone know if season ticket holders have to get actual tickets, as on the website it has a fee even if you allocate to a season ticket holder? Quote
