KentExile
If anyone wants to torture themselves, the replay of the U21s getting spanked by Palace in on Rovers site. I am looking at it as an opportunity to have a look at Mafoumbi https://www.rovers.co.uk/videos/latest-videos/?section=ae9fc48c-a8b7-485a-9482-4efaac4b0a61 Edited August 25, 2024 by KentExile

Also no Eastham.

It's a shame for Eastham he is just not commanding enough.

arbitro
A much improved performance from the under 21's and for large periods of the game we were the better team. A sloppy goal was conceded early on but we probably had the better of the chances but went in one down. We started the second half really well and pinned them back with some quick, incisive play and it was no surprise when we equalised and at that point I thought we would go on to win it. Mike Sheron then made a triple substitution and much like the Carabao Cup game against Blackpool it seemed to weaken us and they seized upon this and got back into the game. The scoreline of 3-1 flatters them. The pick of the Rovers team were Powell (who was excellent), Litherland and Tyjon. Litherland strides forward from centre back and started so many attacking moves whilst Tyjon is going to be a too player. His skill, movement and athleticism were a joy to behold at times tonight.

MarkBRFC
First u21 game attended for a good while tonight with being in town ready for tomorrow. Who was the left back? Thought he was brilliant. Tyjon was very good, and one of the centre halves stood out too, Litherland? As mentioned above. Thought Bloxham looked really sharp too, just guilty of taking too many touches at times and over thinking things. Mafoumbi was disappointing but understandable he's adjusting to the country and English football etc. Enjoyable watch for the most part, especially 20 mins after half time.

The left back was Brandon Powell. He seems to be following the career path of Duru. After not really impressing last season he has really progressed in a short space of time. He looks like a strong wind would blow him over but that will be rectified. He is one to watch.

Physically he is a year or two away from that in my opinion but the rest of his game is good enough. I get the same excitement about him as I did with Adam Wharton at a similar age.
KentExile
Its best to stop watching after the Tyjon goal, not because of the changing of the tide, but because the video editor messed up and it hurts your head to carry on watching Edited August 31, 2024 by KentExile

He did it several times last night and his tight, close control enables him to do it naturally. We need to wrap this one in cotton wool 😁.

Cotton wool made out of the longest contract we can give him once he turns 17, and then again a year later
