JBiz Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I can't say for sure because I havent seen the games bar the highlights for one or two on the player - the results in the youth teams this season seem to be really good. This lad signing a contract is another indicator of potential within the ranks that can only help in future. Quote
A cup of beans Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Very close to doing a PB! I'm sure that'd please some but maybe it'd help me more. You need to remember this is simply a message board. No need to be melodramatic. Idve thought Parson was wise enough to keep things in perspective. Quote
folkdevil Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Don't think I'm allowed to put a stream on here but there is one available for the U18s game at Man United starting at 11am. 1 Quote
Husky Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I'm watching that game. Found it accidentally whilst looking what's on today. 2-0 to Rovers so far. 3 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 O'Sullivan taken off after half an hour at Rochdale. He'd had the hard word from the ref and was already on a yellow ! Quote
chaddyrovers Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Under 21's leading Aston Villa 2 nil at half time at Villa Park Mansall and Wharton with the goals Paul Lambert is there watching the game aswell 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted November 30, 2015 Backroom Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Petshi with an assist. I don't imagine he'll ever play in the first team but he seems to get involved Wonder if Lambert has half an eye on Kozak tonight Edited November 30, 2015 by Tom M Quote
T J Hooker Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Kozak was a beast on fm last time i played it Quote
blueboy3333 Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 Watched the Salford-H'pool game and was impressed with Lewis Hardcastle. For a 17 year old he was very composed on the ball and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Always looked to pass forward and generally did very well in a tough game with boots flying. Looked a very classy footballer. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 O'Sullivan subbed again at Rochdale. This time after about 60 odd minutes. Questions being asked on their board about his fitness. Rochdale lost 0-1. Quote
LDRover Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 There's no more damning indictment on the last manager than the players weren't fit. It's patently obvious they were nowhere near the standard required. Quote
arbitro Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 O'Sullivan subbed again at Rochdale. This time after about 60 odd minutes. Questions being asked on their board about his fitness. Rochdale lost 0-1. I am surprised Rovers allowed him to become cup tied or is it a season long loan? Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 O'Sullivan subbed again at Rochdale. This time after about 60 odd minutes. Questions being asked on their board about his fitness. Rochdale lost 0-1. I watched that game on TV O'Sullivan was very poor and looked off the pace from the start and no surprise he was subbed. He offered very little which was disappointing as I had looked forward to seeing him in live action. Quote

Hill won't be able to keep playing him if he's not contributing. Quote
JHRover Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 O'Sullivan earned very good reviews whilst at Barnsley last season and at Stanley before that, so much so that Barnsley came in with a cash bid for him last January. It's early days for him at Rochdale, I didn't watch the game yesterday but to say he can't do it at that level might not be fair when you read Barnsley supporters' views on him. Quote

If he's not doing it for Hilly he may have to bench the lad. He needs to shape up soon. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 U-21's beat Newcastle 2-1 tonight. Things are looking up at all levels then. Quote
Blueandwhitemike Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) O'Sullivan said in a tweet that he's still working his way back to match fitness at the moment, so I hope he gets the chance to find the form that so impressed Barnsley fans last season. I've not seen him do anything outstanding yet but he's hardly had much of a chance at Rovers. I had hoped Bowyer would give him a run of 2 or three games at the end of last season but that wasn't to be. It doesn't look like he'd be a superstar for us but there's still a chance he might be a useful player, maybe like Judge, he needs a bit more football. Petschi has looked quite good for the U-21s from what people say and my own limited viewing ( 1 full match and some highlights ) he definitely looked like he had something about him, some potential, hopefully in the 6 months he has left he shows enough improvement. I don't really get it but sometimes it feels like we are keen to right off some players rather than give them as much of a chance as possible. Edited December 8, 2015 by Blueandwhitemike Quote
blueboy3333 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Things are looking up at all levels then. The Academy teams have been doing well all season. The recruitment of the staff by Bowyer and their subsequent hard work is to be applauded after the Academy was decimated by Kean/JA. 1 Quote
