He's not under contract so yes he could walk for a nominal fee at tribunal the same as Elliott did when leaving Fulham for Liverpool.

Yes he has agreed to sign a professional contract when he turns 17, in April I think but that's as good as us verbally accepting a job offer in our everyday lives.

We have to hope he sees his opportunity here to grow and develop and build for that move in the future rather than rotting with another 50 young centre back's trying to break through. If he does I'm sure he'll honour his word and sign but if his head is turned, we stand to be disappointed.

Pretty sure you're wrong and it works just like a pre-contract normally would. Ie, signed and a legal obligation for both parties unless they both consented to change or end it. Don't think Elliott signed one at Fulham. Which makes sense, as he was playing for the first team as young as 15 so will have had many eyes on him and have been aware of the interest well before.

Said a 3 year contract agreed and it is the maximum length for under 17's

I know nothing about how pre professional contract agreements work .

They work like any other.  If the player wants to be somewhere else, contract is irrelevant, apart from us getting a but of money.

Agreed not signed. He can't sign till he turns 17 so anything can happen. Let's see how it pans out, in an ideal world he won't move and we'll never know. If he does move I'm sure you'll be straight back here to acknowledge

Think what you want, CBA.

There is absolutely no club in the country better for ash Phillips right now than the mighty rovers . There is nowhere who will get him playing first team football regularly as quick in a high standard team and league . You only have to look at the number of academy graduates we already have playing in our first team. He, his parents and agent must see this is the place for him to develop before potentially a big move. The amount of good players who stagnate and get lost in big academy’s is alarming. Top players playing u23 football into there 20s . This lad will make his first team debut in a blue n white shirt next season at some point. If he’s as good as he’s supposed to be the big money move and massive contract will come a lot quicker playing here than a potential pay rise now and years in a youth set up at one of the bigger clubs

It's a great idea to have him training with the first team too this season, get him integrated and tell him he'll be with them permanently from next seasonWe're more than likely going to be in the Championship next season and if he's as good as people say he is he can become a regular in the team by this time next year.

Went to watch Bamber Bridge yesterday against Stafford Rangers and came across Tre Pemberton playing no7 for Stafford he had a lively game and scored. Surprised to see on looking back it is 4 and 1/2 years since he left for Stoke looking at his cohorts at that time there are four who are playing at league level Wharton JRC with us Andy Fisher now at Swansea and Platt with Barrow.

Isn't Buckley also from that group?

I don't even recall the name Tre Pemberton whatsoever.

A poor performance against a physically stronger side. we missed too many good chances early in the second half. Our defence was poor throughout. Dack didn't do much, but lasted 80 mins before he was substituted. Fraz was down watching, that made my day. Lets just hope for a win tonight.

Lost 6-3 in the end and as a result we're out of the PL Cup. All we had to do to progress to the next around was avoid defeat by 3 goals or more and they scored in the last minute!

Not only the last minute, but the ref must have added on 10 minutes at the end.
