roversfan99 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 That would surely not necessarily mean that. Also, some players might lean into someone who is a clear favourite in the air to gain an advantage by reducing/removing his ability to win that header cleanly. Quote
Guest Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I don't think Juke beat Ash in the air based on anything other than physicality to be honest. He just bullied him. To be expected against a 17 year old. Quote

It’s been obvious to me after seeing him a couple of times that he’s just not. We’ve clearly promised him first team minutes to sign the contract, which is why he’s being played at times now when he wouldn’t be on merit alone. Whether the long term gains outweigh the short term pain of this approach remains to be seen, if he eventually turns into a £30m player it will probably have been worth us conceding a few poor goals early on in his career. He's rightly 5th choice - he'll get the odd game here and there and a few substitute appearances whilst training with the first team. That'll do wonders for his development - personally I'd have him shadowing Ayala. Quote

I don't think the last three will make it at Championship level. 1 Quote

Not a huge range of clubs in the VNL in the local area though - Altrincham and Oldham the only two and I can't see him breaking in there. Of course he could go further afield but not always the best option for a first time loan. Quote

Being out on loan has done him world of good, first choice at Chester gives him a good base to challenge next season for a first team place....Cirino needs that before we can throw him into proper football. 1 Quote
bounceFM Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Hey. Quick question: Does anyone know whether Ashley Phillips and Harry Leonard is born in Lancashire? Can't find anything online. I'm doing a FIFA career with Blackburn where I only sign players from Lancashire. Quote

I think you have misunderstood, which is worrying for someone who supposedly works in the industry, though not surprising. The player that wouldn’t challenge for headers they know that they have little chance of winning would have an artificially inflated win % that doesn’t accurately reflect their aerial prowess. Win % on its own is absolutely not objective until you fully understand the context behind it. Edited October 26, 2022 by RV Blue Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Gallagher is ok on uncontested headers. Contested headers can go anywhere. Quote

And yes, okay, the two metrics Aerial Duel % and Aerial Duels (total) would always be paired together, but that was a given. Quote

JacknOry Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Not much animosity in that to be fair. Just agree or disagree. I find more arrogance in your replies than animosity in his. 3 Quote
rigger Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 At half-time all the metrix show that Fulham are giving us a tanking. The score is still 1-0 so we are not out of it. Quote
rigger Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Now 3-0, we are out of it. But at least Brum are beating QPR. Quote
rigger Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Finishes 3-0, ahh well, just not good enough. Move on. Quote
