Mike Graham Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 The semi-final versus Fleetwood is 18th April at the Lancs County Ground in Leyland, kick off at 7pm. That is one Rovers game I will go to pay to watch. I am already looking forward to it. Quote

Commondore Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Parson and other regular U21 spectators, how would you rate Johnson and Dunn as tacticians and match coaches? They're the only ones that have even a theoretical chance at replacing Coyle, now or later... Quote

Fraserkirky Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Platt is brilliant in the air but is a bit dodgy with the ball at his feet. He reads the game pretty well but lacks pace. Good prospect. Quote

Riverside67 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 No many positives these days but just a mention for the U 16's and the Academy this morning v Utd Two wins and some cracking football all round. Got to say Billy Barr deserves real credit. The U 18's were two nil down with the United lads getting full themselves only to get back to win 3 -2. In dark days there is a little bit of light at least with the youngsters. 5 Quote
DanielMB Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 So is there any chance that we will renew with Mahoney? Quote

Backroom Tom Posted February 22, 2017 Backroom Posted February 22, 2017 Question for Parson - how do you feel about Dunn moving up ahead of DJ? Is this a slight on Johnson or more that he needs to keep in the role he's clearly doing well in. I'd rather they both stayed as they were for now Quote

I'd rather they both stayed as they were for now To be honest Tom I would have liked to have seen Dunny stay with Johnson, although as Under-23 games rarely if ever clash with first team games, I can see him continuing some involvement with the Under-23's. Dunny will bring some much needed passion to the first team. Johnson has done a great job with the Under-23's so it's a real plus that he is staying in that role. Quote
blue kiwi Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 i would have thought jonno would rather stay with the under 23,he is in charge and they are doing well this season,i thought lowe had left rovers, did he leave and come back pb. Quote

Been a very interesting special on 5live tonight and about talent spotting in Manchester. Basically city try to sign everything up from the age if 4-5, and offer a private education up to 18 even if the players are released before then. Makes it very difficult for parents to turn down. O'Conner, Riordan, Brown, Thomson and Whittaker to name a few. All played in Europe and for Scotland at one point. 2 Quote

I can't see much point in that when none of those kids will get a place in their first team. I suppose it prevents other teams getting them though. Quote

I teach in Shrewsbury, and we have had a lad at City since the age of 6. Has to train in Manchester twice a week. Madness Quote
DanielMB Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 So Scott Wharton is having a hard time getting into Cambridges starting 11. Shouldn't he be good enough for that level? Quote
