Bloxham seems to be in the process of being converted to a right back (or at least experimenting with it) rather than a forward.  Albeit only in the past 2/3 games

The main goal threat for the U21s last season was Gilsenan with 13 goals in 15 games, and then 2 more goals in very limited minutes for the first team.  He has not been available so far this term due to injury.

 

For me, Rovers biggest issue with youngsters on the cusp of breaking through is they end up spending too much time sat on the first team bench or being the "21st man" and therefore not playing for any team (first/U21/U18/away on loan).   Which is mainly caused by a lack of investment in the first team playing squad

You may have a very fair point about Tyjon's goal to games ration - he's also scored a few away on England youth duty, I think. But, he really should be getting more support up front, given his age and slight size, but the squad is threadbare. Boggan might come in, eventually.

I think it's evident that the basic problem is lack of quality. And that's been depleted further by injuries, many outgoing loans and the new recruits not making much of an impact yet. As far as I can tell, the national league clubs that the team have faced in the cup, such as Carlisle and Rochdale, have played weakened sides, which puts the season in a slightly different context. That one of our 'top scorers', Bloxham, was being converted into a full-back, lately, says a lot.

To my mind, the management have all but given up on U21s football. It all looks rag-tag and about getting players out on short-term non-league loans anywhere at the first opportunity.

Which website? 

I would have thought that the answer to the first part in most cases is either the website owner, or whoever the website owner employs/enlists to do it,

As for the second part;  You would need to ask whoever is meant to keep whatever website it is that you are referring to updated 😉 

If you mean Rovers website, are you looking for the U21 report from yesterday?

i was looking at the u21 fixtures on the rovers web site still showing next game 13 nov they must have a game before next year!

It seems Teddy Ramwell is on trial at Barrow.   He seems to be behind Lucas Houghton in his own age group at Rovers, and also Tyler Mansbridge who is a year younger

I've no idea who any of those three players are. U16s? U18s?

Houghton and Ramwell are second year scholars, so mainly with the U18s, although Houghton has played a few games for U21s this season

Mansbridge is a 1st year scholar, turned 17 recently, also with the U18s

right back.

Although Ramwell has also played left back, Houghton has played as a centre back, and Mansbridge in midfield

They also have occasional appearances from Duru to compete with for potential u21 games I'd imagine, whilst he hopefully completes his transition into a first teamer. Plus whoever it is who usually plays there at u21. Didn't I read we played Bloxham there not so long ago?

Houghton is the only one of those who has featured for the U21s, and that's only about 5 games, Ramwell being on trial elsewhere implies he is not seen as one with a future here

Duru & then Murphy-Worrell look to be first and 2nd choices for the U21s at right back, with Duru's appearances curtailed by his involvement wit the first team squad.  Bloxham has started a couple there recently. and Rhys Doherty has also featured there on occasion.

I would imagine Duru will be loaned out in January,

I was talking about their progression path rather than where they play at present.

Hmm not sure how I'd feel about loaning out Duru. For one thing I think we could do with cover there. JRC has been poor and Brittain is always close to an injury.

He needs to play regularly,  Little over 500 minutes in total across first team and U21s this season as a result of him sitting on the bench (and being "21st man") in the League and Rovers exiting the League Cup early which would have been a good potential source of first team games for him.

Seeing as the current plan seems to be get them playing (and learning from their mistakes) out on loan rather than for Rovers, it seems inevitable that Duru will spend the second half of the season elsewhere.

Edit - those stats don't show his games for USA U20s, so his actual minutes will be a little higher than stated, but he does still need some more first team exposure, here or on loan, and my money would be on loan
