Husky Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Who would have thought Luke Varney would be playing in the play-offs?

tomphil Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Varney's playing in the play offs because he's playing under a manager who knows how best to utilise the players at his disposal. I don't think for one minute Ipswich's squad is better than ours and no way would I find a place for Varney in our current team. Sadly we know were the problem lies at Rovers, well at least some of us do
Backroom Tom Posted May 9, 2015 Backroom Posted May 9, 2015 Real shame for Varney looks badly hurt his ankle just buckled
Amo Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Straight back to Ewood to join the crocks. Until July at least.
Husky Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Until July at least. If he fancies playing again any time soon - with our fitness record you'd think he wouldn't want another contract here.

chaddyrovers Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 no surprised that Clark has left Blackpool. I think he has had enough of working for the owner and the budget. plus I think he didn't realised how bad things were at Blackpool
RevidgeBlue Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 no surprised that Clark has left Blackpool. I think he has had enough of working for the owner and the budget. plus I think he didn't realised how bad things were at Blackpool Yes I suspect at the time he was just happy to walk straight into another job, any job just days after failing fairly miserably at Birmingham. Luckily for him not much **** is likely to stick to him for being a temporary part of the circus (and that's being polite) that is Blackpool, and he's liable to receive more sympathy than stick for the latter stint.
tomphil Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 You mean the Manager of the team that we beat last week when we had nothing to play for and they desperately needed a win. Nerves for them but also quite simply like I said our squad is far better and when they have a go, particularly with a rare attacking midfielder in the line up then we have too much for most teams in this division. All that whilst playing with two strikers as well by the way Sadly for two thirds of every season we don't set out to have a go.
Jock Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Steve Kean not mentioned for the Lashers. Oh hang on a minute Oystons don't deal with agents.
Blue blood Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 You mean the Manager of the team that we beat last week when we had nothing to play for and they desperately needed a win. Yep that's the one. The team that also finished 11 points higher than us and in the playoffs. On a lower budget too.
Al Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Smart? No. Just basic knowledge. Even the Antonine Wall wouldn't fit your list. So you really meant north of the Scottish Border? OK you win. You're not smart, just irritating.

Stuart Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 That would be the manager who couldn't beat us on two occasions this season. Not really anything to crow about in the grand scheme of things.
ABBEY Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 That would be the manager who couldn't beat us on two occasions this season. Such an achievment deserves the keys to the city.
davulsukur Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Steve Kean not mentioned for the Lashers. Oh hang on a minute Oystons don't deal with agents. Keans not been over looked for yet another job has he? But everyone else told us he was ace?
tomphil Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 That would be the manager who couldn't beat us on two occasions this season. Yep the manager who has a weaker squad with no FFP to hide behind and has spent peanuts but guided his limited squad into a play off place finishing god knows how many points above us. You are to Gary Bowyer what Alistair Campbell was to Tony Blair pal :)
mustard Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 You mean the Manager of the team that we beat last week when we had nothing to play for and they desperately needed a win. Last time I checked the league table was decided on the accumulation of points from the entire season, not just the one game? Not sure on what point you're trying to make here. Steve Kean's BRFC once bettered Sir Alex Ferguson's Man United. Does that mean he's a better manager?
Jacobalph Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 That would be the manager who couldn't beat us on two occasions this season. Is that a joke? Are you trying to say Gary Bowyer is a better manager than MM?
Rover_Shaun Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 That would be the manager who couldn't beat us on two occasions this season.
