[Archived] Season tickets again!

Maybe Hasselbaink (Burton's boss) has some connections with Benfica too? He played in Portugal for a while didn't he?

Good shout, think he had a season or two there in the mid 90s.

ST money taken out of my account.

Back up to the JW Upper. Just off to buy a new flask today and a megaphone so Shelfy and GB (has he gone yet?) can hear me even more clearly.

Don't forget the blanket :tu:

Don't worry captain Mike, you get the flasks I will get the 2 for 1 blankets !!!

Season ticket renewed/upgraded back in the JW Upper.

Thanks, I saw the money had come out of my account. It should buy Jockie Rhodes for a further 10 minutes next season.

In the absence of a 'statement of intent', how many people are watching what happens with player sales before renewing?

The envelope is unopened as yet and although I will probably renew my enthusiasm is probably at an all time low. Out of four season ticket holders from last season in my family I think there will only be two and I fear this will be reflected in the total number of tickets sold ie 50% down. My eldest brother isn't a fair weather fan, in fact quite the opposite but I think what did it for him was Bowyers reluctance to play some of the younger players in the meaningless fixtures at the end of the season.

Similar story with my family we've had 6 season tickets this season (at least 3 season tickets per season for the last 20), 2 of which are definitely not renewing due to finding better things to do on a Saturday than watching as painful it is to say dire football. Me, my sister and dad are going more as a central meeting point to see each other probably more than the football. Sad times!

To some extent I am Stuart but then since the stupid transfer window closes after the start of the season, I could renew in August to find that when i get back from my hols Im watching a team that's considerably worse than when I bought the ticket, so it's not all about that. For me, it's wanting to see something positive - not sure what - that tells me we are at least trying to move forwards not stand still or go backwards. That could be a new manager, a significant player arrival or committment, anything at all that just says we've got a smidgeon of hope.

Good points from you and arbitro. As much as 'Bowyer isn't Kean' people have lost sight of why we watch football in the first place. Although your team is a tribal thing, actually investing money and emotion requires that you at least get some passion, from the players, demanded by the manager, in return.

Tin hat on.

I think its about time WE as Rovers fans began to be a little more positive rather than laying all the misery, the venkys/Shaw spite, the rubbish, the tosh, the ill informed and the utter busllhit bickering between fans and fellow board members.

We have a football club, it can be in many described forms depending on each individuals opinions of how they see it. BUT the fact remains BRFC are still here and we will be playing football next season.

We are a CHAMPIONSHIP outfit with some good players, some who are coveted by bigger clubs than ours. That's a simple way of life in football. We cant change it, it will always be the same. The bigger clubs will ALWAYS take the best players from the little clubs. We accept it, its accepted in football. Rovers may well lose JR and RG, they may lose others as well. What we can expect is that NO PLAYER will leave until the going price is met.

We are in an embargo. FACT. We cant shop at ASDA, we cant even shop at Lidl. We know we have to go for the bargain basement SO to counter that BRFC/VENKYS will NOT just sell off the clubs silver to level the books. There has to be a business plan, there has to be a football plan. We know GB has said that he has planned to be WITH or WITHOUT his front strikers. ITS A FACT OF FOOTBALLING LIFE so accept it and get over it.

We as fans know the starting point. It matters no more what has gone before, it is about what happens in the future that matters.

We cant change the KEANSCUM era. We cant change the mistakes Venkys are culpable for, We cant change the utter cock ups made by SS and co and we cant go back and compare the halcyon days of the 90's and our European ventures, cup wins, cup successes and being the little club that took on the best and won.

We are where we are and its about time some fans sat up and realised this. It can get worse, it may even get better, who knows?

So, as the new fixture list looms fast, as we approach the time when players return from holiday and begin the pre season slog, its about time the fans began to play there part in trying to achieve some success for the club to feed off.

Get behind the club 100 per cent, that's off and on the field.

Its a tough tablet to swallow, I know that. We admire the fans stance made with KEANSCUM and co, we admire the fans stand against Venkys and we admire the way fans pulled together to form the trusts and supporters groups.

Its time to move forward and leave this lot buried in the past.

I am probably going to get a whole load of crap bullets coming my way. I am not arsed, I am not a Shaw puppet and I am not a venkys lover in any way shape or form.

My love is BRFC and I want to see some success, whatever it is and in whatever form it comes.

Yes we have seen dross, we have seen money frittered away and we have been driven crazy at some of the games we have witnessed. I have been left in some sorry states at the way BRFC has thrown away two seasons of promotion chances because of the inadequate fluck ups on the pitch made by players and the managers alike.

Lets look ahead and not backwards.

Who knows what might happen? #Believe#BRFC#Promotion :brfc::brfc::brfc:

I want to get behind the club 100% but with Venkys, Shaw and Bowyer's brand of football it's very difficult.

I agree completely. It's time Bowyer stopped being protected from criticism. Time to move forward in search of a better future.

Success is what we all want. The current regime will not provide it unless something changes.

Lets look ahead and not backwards.

Again, the ghost of Kean needs to be laid to rest and should not be brought up as an excuse when Bowyer is struggling. Our manager should be judged on targets, results and performances. Last season he had a clean slate and failed. He needs to go or needs to do something different and quickly. Slavering over left backs and touting our 40-goal strike pairing to other clubs isn't good enough. Whilst Venkys remain, we have financial security. They need to back the success of the club or they are no good to us.

By looking backwards it shows us what the Venkys have caused by looking forward.

You know what

You bang on about venkys

They were led a merry dance too

Granted I think they will bin us now ASAP but in the list of people who have caused us harm they are far from top of the list

Not at all for me.

Totally wanted to renew no question asked. Support the club at all times doesn't matter who the players, owners or manager are tbh.

Rovers is a passion for me.
